I have the SLIM neck that they were selling for awhile. I had the regular neck and thought it was way too fat. Sent the regular neck guitar back. This one solved that problem immediately, definately a keeper now. Looks like they don't offer the slim neck any longer, can't figure that out. All the other features are listed.

Sound : 10
THis I imagien has ceramic pickups and they keep things bright ususally so no complaints. I like the guitar's sound very much. I use vintage Fender (or clones) tube amps. It gives just enough grind so you don't need an overdrive for rhythm, for lead you still need a pedal.

PURRRRFECT!!!!

Reliability/Durability : 10
Built excellently. Korean guitars are the new Asian best buy out there.

Customer Support : 9
They respond back but they are not going to write you a letter, usually it is a sentence or two. The deal is they have an excellent product, Rondo also sells the SX guitars that are made in China. MY ADVICE IS STICK WITH THE AGILES THAT ARE MADE IN KOREA.

Overall Rating : 10
Playing guitar since the 70's. I own the Agile Strat ST-802 (I put Fender 57/62 pickups in that) the Agile 2500 dual cutaway Les Paul that I don't think they make any longer - a shame because it is beautiful. THe Agile slimline Tele with the f hole. These guitars for me are the only way to go for the price and variety.
I love everything about the AD2300 but I have the slim neck.

This guitar has a great finish, a dark dark wine red that allows you to see through it and see the wood. The color is darker than the pictures the manufacturer has. Shaped like an LP junior with a little different pickguard. Tune-O-Matic that came with a ding on it. Grover tuners which I think are factory seconds. Dont hold tune like the same grovers on my Epiphone. Mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard. Thin neck, similar to an epiphone les paul neck. Made in Korea, and is about as good of quality as my Korean made Epiphone Les Paul. It has 22 frets which is nice, I cant stand guitars with only 21. Drives me insane. The pots on it are iffy. All tone or no tone, same with volume. Comes with two P90s that are awesome IMO. Pretty good overall. The neck needs a bit of work on the high frets. Lots of dust and such and dirt. Also, the strings that came with it left black dirt on my fingers.

Sound : 8
Good bluesy tone, good rock tone, and a really great smooth mellow tone. It is really bright, but has a lot of bass as well. P90s for ya! It has a slight hum when not being played, but from what I've read, the majority of P90s do that. I use it with a Line 6 Spider II and a Crybaby, with a digital effects processor. It is a monster for slide. Sound would improve if I wasnt so lazy and went and had the pots cleaned or replaced.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Finish is great. Tuners suck, dont be fooled by thinking just because theyre grover theyre good. They are cheesy and dont hold tune worth a damn. The pickups came crooked, as in the treble side was lower into the body than the bass on both pickups. Also, the screws came stripped, so I couldnt adjust them. The nut sucks and should be changed. It is cheesy plastic. Action was almost perfect. I lowered it a barely noticeable amount to meet my taste. My tune-o-matic came with a scratch on it. And one tuner is SLIGHTLY crooked, but barely noticeable.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I dont play live ever, so Im not sure what playing live does to an instrument. Its ALMOST as well built as my Epi, so that gives an idea hopefully. The tuners will be replaced in a while. The finish is great, seems about as good as my Epi. I would use it in a gig without backup I suppose, although I dont gig. Its versatile, and gives lots of good tones, so another guitar may not be necessary.

Customer Support : 10
They were great at helping me through the buying process, and I'm sure they would be awesome to deal with if something happened to the guitar.

Overall Rating : 9
Pretty damn good axe for the money. A little bit of work makes it a real player.

Les Paul Jr Double cutaway design with a slightly elongated upper bout. Not much different but the pickguard is curvy and gives a different appearence. I like it better than the original. Solid mahogany body, bound maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard and trapazoidal inlays like a Les Paul. Black heastock with an Agile decal under the finish. 2 Gibson-style soapbar pickups with ceramic magnets. control compartment with a 3-way switch and 4 500k full-size pots, 2 tone and 2 vol controls.

Sound : 10
Did not even plug it in with the original pickups. From experience pickups on imports never sound good. I installed 2 Gibson 54' LP Reissue soapbars from eBay and whoa! My next door neighbor and his wife actually came over and wanted to see the guitar I was playing. I think that says it all. Killer tone. Classic rock and roll. One of the best sounding guitars I own.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Needed a truss rod adjustment and a bridge height adjustment(personal preference) but that was it. I put a set of Ernie Ball 10's and the intonation was dead on never needed any changes. Everything else was just as it should be. Fret work was done extremely well. Neck has a long tenon with very minimal routing on the pickups. Care was taken to just take out just enough wood to fit the components. I love the workmanship on this thing.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Built very well. Very solid and I don't anticpate any problems. Probably not meant to be a pro instrument at this price but it is.

Customer Support : 9
I emailed them and they are 'very available' if a problem does arise. The dealer Rondo Music stands behind these guitars 100% since they are custom built for them exclusively in Korea.

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing since the 'Beatles era'. I own several Fernandes Teles(TE-1N) and Strats(LE-2) and 2 Hagstrom goldtop reissues, a Swede and Deluxe. 6L6GC tube amps, no pedals and just a wire.

I love this guitar and have only 2 complaints. The nut. It's cut high on the bass side and is shaped funny, angled low to high steeply not rounded but square. I suppose higher is better than too low with buzzing. A better quality piece of rosewood on the fingerboard would have been nice. Like Brazillian on the 2500-2800 series guitars. Actually these were just pet peeves because I really can't find any criticisms except for the pickups. Considering the price it's absolutely great!

I'm so glad I found Rondo Music on the Internet. I'm defintely buying another one with P90's. Agile seems to like them and and has many models with them and that's OK by me. My next one is the Valkyrie with P90's when they come in.

I'm a jazz player. Also do the blues, rock, etc... I've been playing out since 1960. I have a tone fo amps, pedals, etc.
This guitar is as good to better than the Gibson that it clones.
Neck p/u mellow enough for jazz, Bridge p/u will rock when you crank and dig in. Has classic ceramic "Cluck" tone. A little too "clucky" if you're a humbucker fan, but I like it - It's different.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Outt'a the box, plan to spend an hour with new strings, truss rod tightening, saddle intonation, pick-up tweaking. Well worth your time to trim it up to your personal requirements. The high quality materials, fit, finish are simply remarkable. As good or better than Gibson USA.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Heavy duty Korean made guitar, Custom factory for Rondo only. This is not a Samick it is not a Cort - I've asked Kurt at Rondo. Solid manufacture instills me with faith that I'll own and use the guitar for a long, long time. I've only owned it 3 months, no issues what so ever with daily playing it.

Customer Support : 10
The best customer communication & support. Fast replies to e-mails. Courteous phone support.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing since 1960. I own a ton of gear. I have bought & sold 1,000's of guitars, amps. pedals, etc... I owned 3 guitar shops until I went broke. I endorse the Agile guitars wholeheartedly.

I basically concur with the other feature reviews on this page. I would prefer the pickup switch were moved to a position away from the volume knobs. It's too close IMO. And for me, two volume and tone knobs isn't necessary, one each will do. And I'd prefer the neck pickup a bit closer to the neck. These are very minor things I might change about this guitar but I'll adjust.

Sound : 10
Sound-wise, this is easily my most versatile guitar. I play everything from alt-country to classic punk. If your looking for an axe that can give you everything from the sweet jangle distortion of SonVolt to the buzzsaw crunch of the Ramones, this one is it! I'll never buy another LP Jr. I play mine through Vox and Marshall 2x12 combos. And noise is not at all an issue with this guitar. This is easily the most quiet p90 guitar I've ever owned. I can't think of anything I don't like about this guitar's sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The set-up on mine was OK out of the box. I had to raise the action just a tad and intonate a couple of the strings. This is usually the norm when I buy a new axe. The neck was set perfect.

Reliability/Durability : 10
As far as I can tell, this axe is very sturdy. I play some stuff with a heavy hand and it seems to hold up very well. Mine's finish is flawless. Easily the best I've seen in a guitar at this price. I can't forsee any problems with the hardware. I had to make some minor adjustments when I received my guitar(see above). The simple tune-o-matic bridge adjusts easily and holds it's desired positions. After my initial tweeks, I haven't had to touch or adjust anything. Oh, and the Grover 18:1 tuners, can't go wrong there!

Customer Support : 10
I asked a few questions before buying. Kurt was quick to answer my emails. Haven't needed anything since buying this guitar so can't comment on that. I will definitely buy from Rondo again.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I've been playing for 25+ years and have owned just about everything at one time or another. When I first played this guitar, I was struck with the same stoke I felt from my first electric guitar. This is a special axe! I would definitely replace it if it was stolen or lost. My favorite features are the p90's and the butter smooth neck. Now is the time for "Mr. Agile" to offer this guitar in a one piece mahogany version, HINT HINT.

First things first! I'm reviewing this guitar as though it cost Much more than it did - with a few tweaks, in my book, it rivals the quality and sound of the Biggies!

You can read the previous reviews or visit the Rondo website for the usual details, but I'll add a couple of my own. First, the guitar has a body contour (similar to a Strat) that makes it Very comfortable to play when sitting. Second, I like to rest my hand on the bridge to mute as I pick, so I Really like having the controls back and out of my way (like a Paul, Not a Strat).

Sound : 9
OK, here I made some changes (I always do). I love the P-90 sound and these pups sounded good from the start - so I don't plan to change them. But ... I personally prefer only one tone and one volume pot (with a treble bypass cap), so I made that change. The sound is Great through my Fender Deluxe ... guitar volume on 3 and it sparkles, volume on 10 and it growls! Very resonant, great sustain.

Yes, they're single coils, so individually you get some noise. BUT! They wired the pups so that when they're both selected they act like a humbucker - something I wouldn't have expected on a guitar in this price range.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Set-up out of the box was very good - I've had many more expensive guitars that required more work than this one. I'm pretty particular about the setup of my guitars and I always tweak them to my liking - so here's what I did.

The location of the strap button behind the heel of the neck makes the guitar feel Very neck heavy. I moved it the to the outside of the upper bout (like a Strat) and it balances fine now.

The fret ends, although finished very well, still benefited from a few strokes of my fret file - now they feel silky smooth.

Very nice tuners and hardware, metal jack plate, graphite nut, great construction and finish ... wouldn't have expected it on a guitar in this price range.

Inlays clean, binding tight, although a nitro finish would've been nice (now I'm really being picky).

Reliability/Durability : 10
I wouldn't hessitate gigging with this guitar - built like a rock!

Customer Support : 9
Kurt answered my e-mails regarding a case promptly - so no complaints there. BTW - a standard LesPaul case fits fine.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing guitar for 35+ years and have owned many fine guitars over the years. Currently, Martin 00-18, Gibson ES335, Gretsch DoubleAnnie, Parker Fly, Fender Strat. Amps, Boogie MkII, Line6, Fender Deluxe.

If this guitar were lost - I WOULD NOT HESSITATE TO BUY ANOTHER- it's THAT GOOD! (In fact, I've already given some consideration to buying a second one - just in case). It's my prime guitar now and I'm truly impressed with what some companies are turning out these days.

Double cut-away 3 peice Mahogany, Maple neck, 2 P90 pups, similar to the Agile 2200 Jr, but perposely made to look less like a Gibson (gasp!) due to rumored threats of legal action by Ginson. I actually like the new design, so it's a plus for me.

From the Rondo Site:

Reto style with modern features and excellent playability
Classically styled flat top 3-piece solid Mahogany body with wide low cutaways for easy access to the highest frets
Its appearance is further stylized by the curvy 3-ply pick guard (black/white/black)
Its great sound is produced by two black covered soap bar style P-90 pickups
P-90 pickups are wax potted and offer superior output and outstanding treble response
Two volume and two tone controls and a three way pickup selector switch help you find your sound
Die-cast Grover tuners with 18 to 1 turn ration of ultra fine tuning
Stop-bar tailpiece and set neck help transfers string vibration to the body of the guitar and produces superior sustain
Truss rod adjustable Canadian Maple set neck; neck is .885" thick
Bound Rosewood fretboard with 22 jumbo frets and trapezodial inlays; Graphite Nut
Natural Brown finish
Fretboard radius: 350mm
Width of the neck at the nut: 1 5/8"; at the 22st fret: 2 3/16"
Overall length 38.5"; Scale length: 24.7"
Width at the widest point: 13", body thickness at the edge: 1 3/4"
Actual Weight is only 7 lbs.

Sound : 9
I play through a Marshall DFX-50, with no other effects or pedals. The P90s in this guitar a quite decent. The cleans have that destict P90 ring, nice and bright. When you gain it up a tad in the dirty channel, one can replicate the Missippi Queen tone that is so signature P90. Sounds feakin awesome, especially considering the price tag.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Especially for rhe price of this guitar, the build quality is very good. It needed a little setup upon arrival, but so did my Gibson. No big deal. There were a couple of very minor finish flaws, but overall, quite nice. Frets are very nice, too.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I would have absolutely no reservations about gigging with this guitar if I ever get back into that scene. The pot are the only thing that I will replace...they just have a cheap feel to them. Everything else is rock solid, though. We'vw gone from fall to winter since I got this guitar, and the neck hasn't moved at all.

Customer Support : 9
As far a I can tell, great. I've had no problems, but I did have question before my purchase, and response was quick and complete.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing 40 years. I have a Gibson LP, DeArmond Jetstar, and a Blueridge acoustic. I've also owned various Gibson, Epiphone, Vox, and other brand guitars in the past. This guitar is an incredible value, especially when you consider the price. It doesn't play quite as nice as my Gibson, but pretty damn close. When you consider the ~$800 price difference, the Agile becomes an incredible value....and it's a ton of fun to play. You can't go wrong IMHO.
