This is the upgrade from the 2500 model. I got it with a couple of scratches for $157.00 - model normally sells for $309.00 or something close to that. I like this guitar very much; the guitar has a real pro feel to it. Mine has a Blue Flame Top that really kits butt. Designed as a step-up model for the AD-2500, the AD-2800 offers Alnico pickups for improved sound, individually hand filed frets, for professional feel, real mother of pearl inlays, and playability, and a better quality Canadian Maple top! 18-1 Grover tuners keep the axe in tune quite well, not has good as my strat-plus locking tuners, but good!
Sound

Guitar sounds like an LP with a bit more treble. Treble might not be the word I'm looking for - maybe it just sounds a bit thinner, but just a bit (nothing a good amp/EQ couldn't fix) I thinking of DXing the bridge pickup for something a bit better - I like the neck position pickup, it sounds good/warm/thick, so most likely I'll just change the bridge pickup. I have 2 83? Eps (SG & LP Jr.) and a 96 Strat plus - The Agile easily holds its own against my other axes in almost all respects and in more then a few areas, it surpasses them.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Action out of the box was a bit high - took 2 secs to adj. Pickups seemed to be setup fine, too. I would have liked an ebony fretboard; but it wasn't an option. This is a fine built instrument, period!
Reliability/Durability

Reliabilty is a 9 no sweat, really well built, in my opinion. I'v only had this guitar for about a month, so time will tell how it holds up, if I had to guess, I say "FINE"
