10 + lbs of mahagony lend to a very dark sounding unamped tone. I replaced the bridge pickup w/ a gfs crunchy paf. Much improvement over the stock pup.

The pup selector switch bleeds thru and will need replacing. It had a few low frets. Nothing I could not deal w/.

The pickups are strong with a vintage warm tone as you would expect from a rig with dual humbucker pickups. All electronics are fine. I do not have any noise at higher volumes. The toggle switch on mine is a little off center. I do not know if I will adjust it or not but it is quiet.
The mahogany body and fixed bridge helps this guitar with its sustain. I am just now getting into buying fixed bridge guitars that do not have bolt on necks and let me tell you that there is a huge difference in feel and sustain. I have sold my telecaster and my strat may be the next to go.

This is my second guitar from Rondo music and I have to tell you they do a great job. I have not been disappointed because I plan on having to do a setup whenever I buy a guitar. This guitar is no exception, when I received the guitar the action was set to medium high. I had to adjust the truss rod to increase the relief of the neck. After I adjusted the truss rod I just lowered the action to where it was comfortable to play. A little fret buzz was present when I received the guitar, but it was easy to adjust out. The top of the guitar was supposed to be spalted. It only has two spalt marks on the guitar. I had my hopes up that the one that I got would have more spalting than the pictures had at their website but it is identical to the one on the page. It is a nice black cherry color and a flametop. For $200 I cannot complain. Intonation was dead on. Do not use the stock strings just spend $4 on a set of GHS boomers and you will be happy.

It feels very solid. The finish survived buffing so I am sure that hand polishing will not be an issue. The joints look like they were glued well and there was no excess glue outside the joints. The guitar shipped with Grover tuners and they are bullet proof. I am sure that it would survive a gig with out any back up.

I did not have to use customer support for this purchase. I have had to use it in the past for other shipments and they are very good.

For the price this as an awesome buy. I love the sound and playability. It looks like a much more expensive guitar. It is by far the best Les Paul copy that I have ever seen. This is the kind of construction that I would expect if I spent over $1000 for a real Les Paul. I spent $199 plus shipping and $5.00 for a set of strings. Total $225 for a guitar that looks and sounds great. The best part is that I did not have to spend $1000 for a real Gibson.
