always been an ibanez lover, but I have been after a les paul clone for years. After reading about all the positive reviews...and while the pound was still worth something against the dollar I gambled on an Agile les paul copy from the US of A. I was really pissed of with Rondo Musics website, its **** design meant I ended up ordering a Cherry Black as opposed to a Sun Burst due to the way the website ordered the guitars in my browser. However...i see it as a twist of fate as after selling my Cherry Black on ebay, I splashed out for an AL 3000 as opposed to the 2000 I initally ordered....Im sooooooo glad I did..its ******* amazing

Sound : 10
i love it....rock to jazz to blues to metal

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
gorgeous finish.....but will need setting up once out of the box

Reliability/Durability : 10
im sure it will last a life time

Customer Support : 5
this is where it gets weird. Kurt was rude as fuck in his emails, but he did ship on time, and gave me a discount due to the mistaken order At the end of the day I have a guitar I love so I shouldnt complain, but a simple apology would have been nice as opposed to a sarcastic email conversation

Overall Rating : 10
for the money....you cannot ask for more

This guitar is awesome. I mean seriously awesome. All these companies that feel the need to charge you an arm and a leg for these kinds of instruments are jerk offs. It has crunch that could ripp off limbs. The mids that this thing provides are a dream for any lead guitar player that wants to cut throught the mix. Most humbuckers in my opinion sound like crap clean, but not this guitar!!! The clean sound is unprecidented. Along with the whole guitar nothing is even close to these guitars. Suitable for all styles.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Factory set up was great. Guitar felt wonderful. The pickup height I always adjust anyway, but right out of the box I could plug it in and jam. Top was awesome and the bridge was perfect. No finish flaws what so ever.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar is built like a tank. I would take it anywhere in the world on tour, bus, anything. This pup would hold up. Hardware on this guitar will last a long time. The finish is strong and seems to me that it could never fade. Nobody makes strap buttons like agile either. Strap never fell off once. I can depend on this guitar and over all, yeah I would gig without a backup.

Customer Support : 10
Kurt is the customer service master. End of ******' story.

I've been playing guitar for 15 years. I've owned real les paul's, Epiphone's, Kramer's, Dean's, Washburn's, Ernie Ball's, and everything else under the sun. Agile blows 'em all outta the water. This guitar will always be with me and I will never sell it. I just love the tone, look, and most importantly, the feel of this guitar. Agile Al2000 is in a league of it's own. Go out and get one and see what I mean.

Same features as the AL-3000, but has a thinner neck. I'm not going to list the other features since it's been mentioned already. Plus, I am completely against and opposed to redundancy and repeating oneself.

Sound : 9
First off, I need to say that although I really like Gibson and Les Paul -style guitars, I haven't played a ton before. I also own an Epiphone LP Standard, which is what I will use as comparison since that is the closest thing I have to this. That said...I love the way this guitar sounds. Much better than the Epi when it had the stock pickups. I was actually expecting to change the pickups on the 3000 sometime soon after I got it since that is what I have been used to so far in my guitar purchasing...but it sounds great just the way it is. Bridge pup is very clear and defined, and sounds great when distorted. May not be the best for metal, but I think it'll handle most styles just fine. Neck pup can be a tad bit muddy, but not at all an issue in my opinion. Overall, a very versatile guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
Finish was perfect, except for a small nick in the binding on the body. But it's only noticeable up close and doesn't affect anything so I could care less. I got mine in black, and the finish is nice and glossy...real sexy looking.

Neck pickup was set flush with the pickup ring, and the bridge pickup was raised kinda high. However, I like how it sounds that way so I left it. Maybe adjust later and see how it effects the sound.

Action was set low and was great, but I was getting buzzing on the first 3 frets. I had a setup done, but I think he raised the action slightly to compensate. Still nice and low, how I prefer it. Not as much buzzing anymore (there always is some at the height I like...usually doesn't bother me, though).

Everything else was great right out of the box. Slight minus credits for the buzzing (it was pretty bad), otherwise an 8.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Haven't had any problems yet since I just got it recently, but I don't anticipate any issues. It's a solid guitar. Big strap buttons. Definitely can withstand live playing. I don't play any gigs (I play mainly as a hobby) but even I know not to gig without a backup.

Customer Support : 10
Had to ask Rondo a question and they got back to me first thing the next morning. I was sold on buying the guitar without playing it based on reviews of Rondo's customer service.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing on and off for 8 years or so. Like I said, also own an Epi LP Std., and I wish I found Agile before I bought that one. I had to change the pickups (due to personal taste) and the tuners (because they sucked) of the Epiphone within a month. I didn't need to touch a thing on the AL-3000. I like the thinner neck, too. I don't know if it will make a huge difference, but it does feel a bit more comfortable since I have kinda small hands. I live in NJ not far from where Rondo was and I really wish I took a serious look at Agile before they closed down the store. It would be tough for me to compare this to a Gibson, but I can easily say it blows away Epiphones. Anyone looking at and Epi needs to check out Agile first. I just ordered an AL-2000 as well after I got the 3000 since I liked it so much. I got both guitars for the same price I paid for my Epiphone. Two guitars is more gooder than 1 guitar for the same price, in my opinion. Only thing I wish is that more finish options were available in the slim neck. I've since read that some have been available, but at the time I purchased mine only back and cherry sunburst were out. I'm fine with black...it looks awesome.

Highly recommended!!!
