Features : No Opinion
Already covered-the typical Les Paul works.

Sound : 9
Surprisingly decent Alnico pickups for a $390.00 guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Ok, I've always marvelled at gushy reviews about these guitars, even though I own two other Agiles (Cool Cat Prestige and Harm-1). I'll just say this; my Agile AL-3100 HSBF came setup like my top notch luthier just got done with it. Perfect nut work, brilliant and smooth fretwork, perfect relief. Simply amazing.

The bookmatch on the flame can look a little off under certain angles, but that doesn't concern me. I would've bought a plain maple cap if it was available. Every other aspect of this guitar is great to flawless.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
Time will tell

Customer Support : 10
I asked Kurt to ship me a light guitar if possible and to provide cream colored trimming instead of the white as advertised. I got an 8.5lb(!) guitar with cream. Great customer support.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing since 1970 and have a ton of gear. I've owned 2 other Les Pauls before. I have been wanting to get an R8 for some time but decided I couldn't justify the expense for a second string guitar (I'm a Strat man). Man, did I make the right decision. This is a great guitar with less flaws than MANY Gibby's and Fender's I've picked up and played in recent years. I have a Gibson ES-333 that I've invested probably $700.00 in to play and sound as well as this guitar. Not Gibson bashing here. If I was a Les Paul player through and through I'd probably own an R8. But if you're like me and would like to have a great/inexpensive alternative to the pricey Gibson, well here's your option.
