You can see the other reviews for the features on hte guitar, but quickly: 24 fret, made in Korea, Floyd rose bridge, Grover tuners. The Grover tuners are really nice.

Sound : 8
I play classic rock, hard rock, metal, and whatever else I feel like at the moment. The stock sound is good for classic rock and hard rock, but needs a bit more bite to play really heavy stuff. I like the sound that I get out of the neck pickup, but the bridge pickup sounds a little muddy and kind of bland. It has awesome clean sounds though. I really am only considering changing out the bridge PU. With a better pickup in there it should sound perfect.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
This guitar actually wasn't that bad in this category. I did have to setup the tremolo because one of the springs fell out while the guitar was being shipped. But the setup only took me about an hour and a half, and I have never set up anything on a guitar pretty much ever. When I finished setting up the guitar and lowered the action to where I like it, it played wonderfully. The guitar also looks great. I have not had any issues with the floyd touching the sides of the cavity like some of the other reviewers did.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I can't really say much for this category because I've only had it for two days, but it seems like a tank.

Customer Support : 10
I contacted Rondo about this guitar before I bought it, and Kurt responded within a couple of hours with a very helpful response. Good guys at Rondo.

I think what people forget about this guitar is that they are not playing a Gibson. It costs $280 so it's not going to play like a $1500 guitar. But it is great for the price. If it were stolen or lost, I'd cheese another one right over here. I didn't have any of the problems that the other reviewers had. Maybe it's luck with these guitars, but I know that mine is solid as a rock.

Left-Handed 24 fret les paul copy, with a Floyd Rose license trem, 2 humbuckers, black with gold hardware. Nice Grover tuners. The neck is a thin super strat kind of profile, rather then the loggy style gibson necks these kinds of guitars usually have.

The finish and look was pretty decent.

Sound : 5
I thought it was rather muddy, even after putting a Dimarzio Tone Zone PU in the Bridge and a GFS Crunchy PAF in the Neck. It could of worked out for the kind of music I play, but I just wasn't what I was looking for. The stock PUs were crap for what I needed to play. They may be ok for some light style of music.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 3
It looked like the floyd rose was an after thought, like they just took a regular body blank and knocked a hole in it. The floyd didn't fit very well and seemed to kinda rub against part of the hole. The insides of the trem cavity looked really bad, like I said, an after though on how they thought they were going to mount the trem.

It came pretty much unplayable, and I finally had my guitar guy do a proper setup on it. I used it for a few practices and the intonation was already out of wack on it.

The action was ok, kinda stiff however, no where near comparable to my Ibanez RG guitars. The neck was slim feeling, not unlike the Ibanez necks.

The wiring was crammed really tight in the cavity and I had a hell of a time trying to solder when putting in new pickups.

The guitar was heavy as hell. Using it long term, one could end up with back problems. I felt it hung awkward on my body and was hard to play, but again, that's just me.

Reliability/Durability : 4
It was ok, but it was more of a preference thing. I like super strat style guitars, like Ibanez RG series guitars, but was looking for something a little different, and it is hard to find left handed guitars sometimes. It just didn't work out so I sold it. I bet if you played on it alot, the gold would rub off the hardware and the knife edges on the trem would go flat pre-maturely. Agiles and SXs seem to like to put gold hardware these guitars for some reason.

Customer Support : 8
Rondo music seems pretty decent and they ship fast. I've bought 3 guitars from them so far.

Overall Rating : 5
It just was not my cup of tea when it comes to guitars. The guy I sold it to seemed to like it alot though. I still cannot get away from my Ibanez RG 550 and 570 guitars. They work out best for what I do, old school thrash metal.

Hi, this review is for the AL2000 Les Paul copy w/ Floyd Rose. My guitar is the white one, has a grey binding, 24 frets, Grover tuners, similar to a Les Paul although I believe the neck is Maple instead of Mahogony, gold hardware, made in Korea. Here I'll give it an 8 because the nut needed work(explanation below).

Sound : 9
Pickups are good, I have a Palmtop studio so I can listen thru a good set of cups to the tone and output...sustains very well...output is good, not screaming like active pups will provide, but good...I'm content with it...I was playing some Randy Rhoads solos the other day and they sound good thru this guitar as an example. Sounds like a Les Paul and certainly sustains like one, tones a tad bit muddy but then thats what Pauls sound like.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Action was low but it didn't matter because I had to reset the tremolo anyway(expect to do this if using diff gauge strings)...its quite low now, no buzzing that can be heard thru the amp. Unlike the previous reviewer I had no issues with the Floyd. It's routed well and allows for full dives, etc, seems to hold tune very well with the locknut. Also, I havent noticed any headstock heaviness like the other reviewer said. I put a leather strap on the guitar and it hangs well. BUT, I must agree with the previous reviewer on the locknut...this was the one flaw...it was waaay too high, had to have it fixed...brought the guitar to my guitar tech and he routed out the wood a bit underneath it to sink it too a good level. I don't know, this may be an issue with these guitars but for the price it's still worth it...the repair and setup cost about $100 and the guitar cost $269 shipped...so my total is $369 which is well worth it because the guitar is excellent now. There were no other issues with the guitar. 8 because of the nut.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I don't gig these days but the guitar is solid...don't see any issues in that area.

Customer Support : 10
I've bought a bunch of Agiles from Rondo, company is excellent, return policy is excellent...customer service(Kurt)is excellent.

Well, I've been playing for over 26 years, music school grad(GIT), former guitar instructor...blah, blah, blah. I have 2 other Agile Les Paul copies(2500 series-both are great), 2 customized Fender Strats(80's Japanese-the best to those in the know), an Epiphone Les Paul Nuclear Extreme, 4 Peavey basses, an Agile Ovation copy, a real Ovation, and a Yamaha classical. For the money Agiles are really great guitars...like any guitar at any price range I expect to have to take it in for a pro setup and probably a bit of work...like I said you may have to get the nut fixed on this guitar if myself and the previous reviewer are any indication...but it's worth it...the guitar is very nice. Please feel free to email any questions about it.

Korean made. Black with binding on body and neck. Mahogany body and mahogany neck. Arch top. two volume, two tone controls. 24 frets with spacial heel cutaway (brilliant addition). Grover tuners. All gold hardware and pickups. Licenced Floyd.

Sound : 6
I play heavier rock and this guitar seems well tailored for such. The pickups are somewhat full and rich, but could use a bit more bite when you consider the type of music that this guitar seems made to play. I'm considering throwing in some EMG passive humbuckers for the added kick without batteries. The wood will give it the right amount of thick tones. All in all...the stock tone isn't bad, just not for heavier/metal music.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 5
Here, like the previous review, is where I am going to be most critical. The action is much higher than I would like. The metal plate where the tremolo is posted is problematic at times, but I don't like to divebomb so hard that the bar touches the body, so I wouldn't see it as all that big of a deal.

Given the cutaway and 24 fret neck, the action should be MUCH better than it is. That said, it also poses a challenge to the shredder so the next time you pick up an Ibanez with an uber flat radius neck and super low action, playing should be more intense. It's a workout. As a rythym player with only the occasional lead break player, I think the action is passable. I just think they could have done better. My PS970 PRS styled Agile has MUCH better action. I just wanted the Les Paul style axe..and it delivers pretty well.

Reliability/Durability : 8
Pretty solid...the cardinal rule is that you NEVER play gigs with a floyd equipped guitar without a proper backup. It is a well built axe and far superior to any ESP, Ibanez, Epiphone, Rich guitar in it's price range.

Customer Support : 10
Kurt at Rondo is a gentleman and will assist you in any way he can. When I purchased this from Ebay, I asked if I could also purchase a black/gold pickguard assembly. He made an exception and got me the assembly for a few bucks more. With a little bit of cutting (due to the 24 fret neck)it fit like a charm and adds a bit more character to the overall appearance. He is quite a rarity in the gear sales world. Courteous and responsive always.

Overall Rating : 8
This is my second Agile and I am quite happy with the craftsmanship that this company offers. When you consider the garbage that so many "name brands" are putting out these days from China and indonesia, Agile is destined to be an up and comer with the big leagues. I'd like to see more variety in the future. I am a big fan. I would put these against a lower end Epiphone any day...and for MUCH less money.

White, gold hardware, Grover tuners (NICE), 24 frets, Made in Korea, H-H, 2 vol., 2 tone, mahogany body and neck (?) w/ rosewood fingerboard.

Sound : 7
I think it sounds pretty good to be honest. Full I would say. All of my other guitar are bolt-on Strat based guitars (Super Strats). I'm mostly into rock, hard rock. Anything with lots of distortion.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 3
Very bad in this category. Locking nut was way too high, locking trem did not have much function up or down due to the cavity being cut too tight and a metal plate that holds the trem posts. The front of the trem would bang on this plate very quickly, preventing a full dive. I fixed these things myself with a dremel type tool. The bridge was really high profile and I replaced it with a low profile version by the same manufacturer. The guitar is also neck heavy, due I guess to there being 24 frets and thus the neck stick out farther from the body. The frets were OK. Some high spots. I keep the action fairly high so they aren't a problem but they would be if I wanted the action really low. Nice special heel cutaway for better high fret access. Looks wise it's fine. I have the white with gold hardware. I hate gold hardware but it's looks the least offensive to me against white so I went with that.

I've been playing 27 years. I play mostly Ibanez RG 550's and I have a Universe. Good for the price. It's like an around-the-house beater. I never bought a case. I recorded with it once. I don't think they make this model anymore. Now they have the AL2500, which seems to have binding & some inlay on the headstock which mine does not. Probably a better grade of rosewood for the fingerboard too. I find Les Paul's really awkward and heavy to hold but I always had a desire for one. When I saw this Agile with 24 frets, a Floyd Rose and the special heel cutaway I figured it would cure the desire so i don't do something stupid and spend two grand on a guitar that just looks cool.
