Fantastic sound. Beats the Epiphones.

Everyone should accept the fact that any new guitar will need set up-up and strings.
Top wasn't bookmatched too well, but its still fantastic looking.

This thing is too solid. Weighs a ton! There are a few Gibsons that weigh this much, but not many.
Bring a back up anyway. I mean, that is Chinese wiring in there.

Everybody rants and raves about Rondo service. I wont say its bad, but I wont say its good either. Grab a beverage of you choice and get ready for a long story. My first purchase from Rondo music was an Agile 2500 Les Paul copy and a hardshell case. When it arrived it had a blem in the finish on the upper side. It was somewhat of a minor blem. Looked like it got dinged by a metal tool before the final coat of lacquer. There was a definite divot. You?d see this every time you look down on the guitar, which would bug me. If you were to be purchasing a guitar in a store you would hand this one back and tell them to get another one. So I contacted Kurt and we set up sending it back and having a replacement sent. 2 weeks later the replacement arrived. Guess what? Another blem. This time it was a real ding, down to the wood on the lower side. It was out of sight, but down to the wood? Unacceptable. So I contacted Kurt and we set up sending it back and having a replacement sent. Kurt politely suggested that he would give me a refund and we would forget the transaction. He hinted that I was being too picky and that the first guitar wasn?t that bad. My opinion is that if you wouldn?t walk out of a store with it you shouldn?t accept it from a web-based retailer either. (Rondo?s shipping people could have caught either of these flaws before they shipped if they were paying attention. I?ve read elsewhere to always order your guitar with a case or bag from Rondo for this reason. Of course, the damage to the second guitar might have occurred in the hands of Rondo music.) Kurt did agree to try it one more time.
2 weeks later the replacement arrived. Can you guess what happened this time? No flaws, but the wrong guitar! Instead of the Agile with a set neck they sent me an SX with a bolt on neck, a cheaper instrument. Once again I contact Kurt. By now he?s out of stock of the guitar I originally ordered so we just cancel the whole deal.
6 months later he has Agile 2500 back in stock so I order one. I?m a bit pissed cause now the price has gone up 30 bucks but when it arrived everything was perfect. A fantastic guitar by the way.
A year later I order the SX SST 57 bass. They shipped the short scale. I contacted Kurt. They took its back and 2 weeks later I had the right instrument.
So is Rondo service good? They paid for all the shipping. That?s good. Shipping the wrong guitar on 2 separate orders? That?s bad.
Bottom line, Kurt is good to deal with. He needs some better people in his shipping department.

Best bang for the buck out there in a LesPaul copy.
This guitar is HEAVY! I can deal with it, but I'll bet it would bother some.

Keep in mind, I have never had a chance to play the real Les pauls, only epiphone copies. Sound is no different if not better than the epiphones, as you have probably read, it does get muddy with the rhythm selected, i don't really mind. The highs are really nice too!

action is okay, i'm sure i'll have to play around with it later. Pickups seem fine to me. The finish, the wood, everything was absolutely gorgeous. I don't remember seeing any epiphones having this nice of a sunburst!! I love it!

i've been playing guitar for around 4-5 years, and play a korean made acoustic/electric guitar. I've played only acoustic and never really needed an electric. But i always did have a thing with Les Paul's so I was researching copies(since i'm a poor college student) and found out about the agiles. As you probably know, these thinsg have gotten so many good reviews so I decided to get one. Such a good price, and compared to the epiphones and their price, this is a steal. If I lost this or had it stolen... I'd cry and then beat the crap outta whoever stole it, or hit myself over the head for losing it. and then buy a higher level Agile :) Now that you've heard my 2 cents, GO BUY ONE!

This is why I wanted a LP style guitar. It's got great tone. Some people have knocked the original pickups but I say they get the job done with flying colors. Maybe if you're a virtuouso with perfect pitch, blah, blah, blah, you might want to install different pup's. For me, however, this guitar sound fantastic, definitely as good or better than the Epi versions out there.

This is one area that I have some complaints. This guitar has great potentional. It's built tough, the finish looks top notch, and the components are greate for $239.00. However, as another reviewer mentioned, my neck position pickup had come loose. I screwed it back into place but it still rattled. So, I took Kurt's advice and took the pup out, stretched out the springs, and I think that has done the trick. Again, as another reviewer mentioned, the shafts on the tone pots are too short. This means that 2 or 3 of the four knobs end up rubbing against the guitar's beautiful top. Another minor annoyance is that the grover tuner (which work beautifully) are not perfectly aligned on the handsome headstock. Nothing major, but I can tell just by eyeballing it. Finally, the flamed top is off center. This is just another annoyance. Unless someone is going over it with a fine tooth comb they probably wouldn't notice. I guess what I want to reiterate is that this guitar has great potential.

Solid. Nice and heavy just like a LP. I try to treat my equip with respect regardless of how inexpensive it is. Whith this in mind, it think this thing will last longer than I do.

Pretty good. Kurt responded to a late night e-mail early the next morning. So far that's my only indication of what to expect in the future.

I've been playing for almost ten years. I had put the electric down for a while and focused on more acoustic stuff but decided to pick the electric back up. I've got a Carvin DC 127 made around '96 but it just didn't give me the sound I wanted. It's an ok guitar but I had my heart set on a LP knockoff. I would buy another one of these guitars in a heartbeat. I love the traditional LP styling of the 2500. The proportions are almost identical to the real deal. The tuners are high quality. The frets are nicely filed and well polished. The trapezoid inlays look classy, even though a little filler is evident. The pickups give a nice creamy yet hot tone. I would tell anyone with the dough to pick one of these up. I don't care if I ever own a name brand guitar again. This guitar meets all of my needs. My one warning would be to expect to do some tinkering to bring the guitar to it's full potential. If you're not comfortable making some simple adjustments you might have to take it to the local shop to get it set up properly. Overall, skip the Epi, save the dough, get the Agile. It's inexpensive, better quality that guitars at least three times its price, and it sounds sooo good. I'll try an give another review after I've had it for a couple months.
