Another Alden Vox copy.
This time it's based on Brian Jones Phantom Teardrop shape.
- A Rosewood and Maple lacoured fretboard.
- Basswood Body with a vintage white finish.
- 2 single coil Entwhistle pickups.
- 3 way selector switch and a volume and tone knob.
- Thru body strung with a Telecaster meets Strat bridge.
I think this guuitar i amazingly packed full of features for the price I paid and all the Hardware works perfectly.

I have a Telecaster copy of wich I have done alot of work on over the years.
The Single Coils, the selector switch and the volume and tone knobs mirror a Tele set up.
The single coils sound very similar to a Tele.
You get no earthing buzz from the guitar and the coils are very quiet.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The action of the guitar was not amazing when I got it and I still have yet to adjust the bridge to match my playing style.
Asthectically, the guitar is a work of art. Only failing with the slight rough finishing around the neck and the scratch plate not fitting exactly, I can however change this.
Reliability/Durability

I have yet to test it live, however, I have a mate in a band that uses its brother the Phantasia 6 very regulary and he says he hasnt had a single problem with it.
I could imagine the Troubadour being similar when ive adjusted the bridge.
Im not in a band as such apart from my own lil experiment, but if I was to play it live I don't think I would have any trouble with reliability. I would take my Tele copy just incase.

I bought it from Cranes Music Store and had no problem dealing with them so I guess they will be more than pleased to help if I needed it.
They gave me an amzing price for it too, they knocked off ??50 from their original asking price.

Ive had the guitar for a month now and ive loved every single second of it.
Im totally obsessed with Vox Phantom guitars and I plan to get the Alden Phantasia at some point too.
Alden have made an excellent copy for the price and im still completely confused as too how.
