This guitar was built by the Alembic Company of Santa Rosa Ca.in 2002.
It has a set in,double adjustable truss rods, 3 piece maple w/cherry laminated neck, ebony long scale fretboard, 24 frets. It has a beautiful double thick flame maple top on a semi hallow mohogany back. It has two volume controls w/inside the cavity trim pots, two pass filters and two on/off/bright switches also w/inside the cavity trim pots. The pickups are two Alembic HG hum cancelling, low impedence, active pickups. The finish is a high gloss vintage wineburst. The burst is unbelievably beautiful. It's burst on the front, back and back of headstock. The front of the headstock is highly polished ebony. The body style is all Alembic double cutaway. The bidge is Alembic brass adjustable at each string as well as height adjustable over all. The tailpiece is a solid brass Alembic style bird. The tailpiece is designed so that the strings just set right in. It is by far the finest design I have ever seen. The nut is solid brass and adjustable as well! The tuners are gold Gotoh. The fretboard has jumbo frets it is wide and is ornimated with ten beautiful abalone ovals. The strings are set very low and still can be played bottleneck. Came w/ hardshell case and adjustment tools.

I've been playing guitar diligently for over 40 years. I own a 1953 Les Paul, a 1990 PRS , a Heritage 575, a Travis Bean Artist, a Guild big body accoustic and bass, a Martin D-45, Taylor and this is by far the finest guitar that I've ever owned. It SINGS. I play many styles....it has wonderful clarity. It records direct in siliently, no noise at all!! I play live through a Mesa DC-5 w/2X12 Mesa/Celestions.
It is noiseless. It has a full range of sounds from way mellow-almost accoustic sounding to the harshest highs. It produces rich, full, long sustaining clarity to heavy crunch.
It' a dream to play. My technique has improved audibly in an incredibly short time. This guitar is teaching me.

This guitar is backed by the kind folks at Alembic. It is built like the proverbial brick house. I am certain that it will be pleasing future family members for many generations.

The customer support for Alembic is what drew me to them in the first place. They are fantastic to work with, and I'm looking foward to purchasing another of their fine instruments as soon as finances allow.
