Semi-Hollow, bought on ebay for under 200.00, including a short guitar cord. I believe it came directly from the US distributor, not an individual.
I'll start at the top (of the guitar that is).
Tuners: great quality for this price of guitar. I'm sure they're knockoffs of gotoh or whatnot, but who cares. They are very nice.
Headstock: kind of a copy of PRS, but not a "look like a rockstar!" vibe. I like it.
Neck: rosewood, could be prettier, but can't complain about the quality. Very nice and tight grain. The frets could have been filed more. They are sharp enough on the edges that they could snag your pants, easily. I'm tempted to try to smooth them, but worry that I'll screw up the wood. This is in my view the only thing I don't care for on the guitar. It does not affect sound at all, of course. But given how nice the rest of the guitar is, I was surprised by this.
Body: really nice finish. I've looked at this thing with a magnifying glass and can't find a finish or fit issue. Nice job on this aspect. Body style is semi-hollow, like a miniature Dot.
Pickups are passive EMGs. Very good in my opinion. I was expecting some dimarzio clones or something. The EMGs sound very good through a variety of amp set ups.
1 vol., 1 tone control, with standard 3 position switch. All electronics work good. No scratching or anything like that. Everythign on this guitar seems high quality. I would put it on an even plane with the low-end PRS guitars. Soundwise, I challenge someone to find the difference.
Ok, I know I said there was only one problem with the guitar. Here's a 2nd. I truly wish they'd have made a cut out in the back. I have NO idea how they got the electronics into the body. Did they mount the stuff before they glued the top on? There is no trapdoor or access plate if the pots every go bad or if a wire comes loose at the switch. Even the best guitars eventually develop some problems like this, and I have to admit that I'm paranoid on this one. The only way I can see to change out one of the pots would involve a jigsaw, and that scares me.

I mostly play jazzish and new age. I've never tried to play Van Halen with this, but it has an extremely versatile sound. Mostly, it has the "thin" sound that you want in a semi-hollow. I wanted the george benson sound, and it gives you that. Blues it seems really suited for.
If i'm holding back on this point, it's just because I don't play a wide range. What I play, this thing plays. For the price I love the sound. Actually, I love the sound period; it sounds better than the Epiphone I almost bought instead.

was set up very nicely at factory. Comes with a little wrench to adjust the neck, not that I had to.
Everything is nice and snug. Workmanship (except for the one flaw I mentioned above) is extremely high. Not just for a less than 200 $ guitar, but in general.

I don't play live (for good reason). So I really shouldn't comment here. It looks bomb-proof.

Been playing off and on for a while. I own a couple other guitars, including a vintage Epi solid body. I don't play professionally or even in a band.
I do play often though, and run this guitar through a pre-amp, a solid-state, and then through a Virtualizer.
What is it's best feature? Toss up between the looks/feel and the sound. I love both. I was scared to buy on ebay, especially a no-name guitar. The truth is, I'd buy an alex chase solid body if space wasn't a problem in my studio (aka my apartment).

I bought this guitar off of e-bay and when I received I was really surprised how good it looked and how nice it sounded for the price.I would have paid twice as much for the quality.I think it is a 2005 and was made in Korea or China.Dont let some of the Chinese made guitars fool you. They are really making some nice looking and sounding guitars today. It has 22 frets,semi-hollow body which is maple,1 vol.and 1 tone control with a 3 way switch.Has 2 humbucker pickups made by EMG and these really sound great.Neck is Maple with Rosewood fretboard. The finish is a red quilted top which is quite beautiful. The bridge is stop tailpiece.Tuners are top quality Gotoh style.I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a good looking and good sounding guitar for the price.

This guitar suits my music style which is classic rock.I am sure it could do quite a few other different styles which I intend to try.I am using a Fender Twin Reverb amp and a Galaxie 10 with it and it sounds good on both.It is very quite even with distortion. It has a rich full sound.I would recommend changing the stock strings with some that would be of more quality.I honestly cant find any faults with this guitar.

The guitar was set up pretty good from the factory.I only made some minor adjustments on the bridge alittle. The top was matched good.I didnt notice any flaws even though the one I bought was supposed to have a blemish which I cant seem to find.

I think this guitar would withstand live playing.I would not play without a backup no matter what guitar I would be playing. All the hardware is excellent for the price, the finish looks good and looks like it will last. The strap buttons seem solid.I would not hesitate in depending on it.

I have been playing off and on for 30+ years and have played every guitar you can imagine from cheap $30.00 guitars to top of the line Fenders,Rickenbackers,Gibsons and so forth.I dont this guitar sounds any worse or better than all of the high priced ones.I would recommend this guitar to any player from beginner or advanced that would like a nice looking, great sounding, great playing, guitar for a really great price. They are IMHO worth 2 to 3 times what I paid.
