Beautiful brazilian type rosewood. To be exact, I read somewhere it comes from Argentina. Very plush looking flamenco negra guitar.
Tuners are above average and very smooth.

Sound : 9
Very silky, rich sound. Plenty of volume with a flamenco growl that will bite your hand off at the wrist! Incredibly low action and
super responsive to the touch. However, this guitar will buzz. It is a flamenco guitar and they do buzz when set this low. Definitely worth the buzz to be able to play this fast and smooth. Rasqueados roll off this guitar like none other that I have played.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
Action is incredible but like I said, if you are looking for a guitar that doesn't buzz, buy a classical. However, you will not be able to have the same responsiveness to rasqueados and scales that a flameno guitar offers. The laquer on the back and sides is very nice. The top is the standard orange that I don't really care for but what can you do. For this price, I would have liked a little more unusual rosette and or bridge inlay but it doesn't really matter.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Very solid feeling guitar. Definetly not a TV infomercial guitar. LOL. I got it with a Stealth/Gator case. Man, this is the nicest case I have ever seen! Hardware and case is all powdered black finish. Inside is practically airtight with the guitar inside. Very strong.

Bought the guitar from Tony at guitaraffecs.com. Second guitar I bought from him. The first, also his recommendation, is an Almansa 415 Spruce top with Sycamore back and sides. Great guitar for the money. Sounds better than guitars costing twice as much! I bought the guitar solely on his recommendation so obviously I trust him.
He is always very helpful, never pushy. Guitar shipped right away and was packaged up very nicely. Thanks Tony!

Overall Rating : 9
Expensive guitar but worth the money. Definitely more guitar for the money than if you would go for a name brand like Conde Hermanos etc.
Alhambra has a website that you could post questions on and there is usually a quick response. However, it wouldn't hurt to be able to read Spanish. I have been playing flamenco on and off for twenty years. I started by studying with Dennis Koster in NY and was fortunate to see Sabicas live at Carnegie Hall. I only play traditional flamenco and consider myself very well versed in it. Therefore, I would recommend this guitar with confidence. For a less expensive model, go for the Alhambra 7F or Alhmansa 415.
