My Alhambra 11P is an older 70's model, solid woods throughout, rosewood back & sides, quality cedar top and the nicest dark ebony fretboard i've ever seen. Tuners are top quality, gold and holding the tuing straight as a dial.

Sweet sound with lots of volume and clarity of sound across the complete register. My previous guitar was an Alhambra 4P which i thought was excellant until i heard the 11P. The 11P blows it out of the water.

Its a Spanish made guitar, the finish is good but the guitar has developed some character from use.

An entry level concert guitar that like most classical guitars needs to be treated with care, this one has been a little abused over the years with various scratched and knocks but is still structually sound with no cracks, so i guess they are built well.

I've been playing classical guitar on and off for about 20 years, this Alhambra 11P is the nicest guitar i've owned in that time frame. It truly is a classical guitar of some merit and would suit any one who has approached advanced level in their guitar studies.

1998 [used] Spanish made with cedar top & solid rosewood sides & back.

Very balanced tone & a lot of sound. I always want a classical guitar [or any guitar] with lots of output. This one has great bass response, but not at the expense of the midrange & treble. It really projects, too. It beat out all the Ramirez guitars I tried in this price range.

This instrument I bought from Gruhn Guitars in Nashville without having heard it--not a veteran move. Since I knew the 11C is Alhambra's top-of-the-line guitar not built by one luthier, I figured it was worth a chance. When it arrived I wasn't happy with the amount of fret buzz [I play my instruments hard]. Gruhn adjusted the price so I could have the work done locally. Now it's a champ! Also, there was a slight gap in the nut slot in the neck. This is nitpicking, though. Even the buzzing was probably not significant for most players.

Gruhn stepped up to the plate [with a little prodding]: what more can you ask? Realistically, the salesperson had to take my word for the buzzing, since he could no longer hear it for himself. A good company to deal with.

I've been playing almost 40 years & own 6 guitars & this is one of the best I have, even though others have cost much more. This would be a hard guitar to replace, because they're hard to find. If it were lost or stolen I'd try like hell to get another.

Playing for several months in classical style. Did a lot of research before settling on an Alhambra (kind of hard to find one to play locally - but once I did, it was over). I would replace it with another 11C without a second thought. I played the Martin C1R (good guitar, but no comparison) and a few others and nothing could hold a candle in the same price range with this instrument.

This Spanish made classical guitar is about two or three years old. It has a very fine and even grain ceder top and solid indian rosewood sides and bottom. The fretboard is ebony and the neck also has an ebony insert for strength. Tuners are fine, filigreed, antiqued gold finish. Rosette is a very attractive inlay. The glossy laquer finish is expertly applied. A look inside the guitar shows the same superb workmanship as the exterior.
I rate htis instrument a "ten" for quality, although features mean little in a classical guitar

Lovely. Sweet. Balanced.
Frankly this guitar was priced out of my intended range. But then, after playing several other nice guitars in the $600 - $1000 range, I made the mistake of picking up this used 11c. Its voice spoke to me immediately.
The most striking thing about this 11c's tone is the way it responds to a players touch. As the 'attack' increases the guitar becomes not just louder, but brighter. This rewards good playing technique and gives the musician great latitude of expression. It is this, in my experience, that marks the especially fine classical guitar.

This guitar's appearance is subtly beautiful. At first look one sees the fineness of the finish and the warm color of the various woods, but a closer look reveals lovely details. The tightness and especially the eveness of the grain in the top is exceptional. The 'gold' appearing inlay in the back is also lovely. All workmanship is flawless with the exception of some splashed white sealer that can be seen inside the guitar up near the neck.
The original owner of this guitar apparently replaced the stock bridge with a higher one to match his playing style. (6mm, fret to bottom of 6th string at 12th fret) Original specs call for 4mm (3.5 for 1st string). I am presently having the original action restored. Despite this the fingering was reasonably easy.

As with any fine solid-wood classical guitar the concept of "durability" is forign. These instruments are by nature delicate, not just to physical knocks and vlows, but even more to inproper humidity and/or rapid changes in temperature. With care, though, a guitar such as this will improve year after year, both in appearance and sound.

Don't know. Alhambra has a fine and modern website which seems to invite interaction with the company.

I have been playing guitar for 40 years. Mostly electric blues. Some early classical training. (More to come!)
My previous classical instrument was a simple, but fine, student Tatay. My other instruments include several Gibsons, Epiphones, Fenders, and a Yairy D-76.
This Alhambra is far more guitar than my classical technique presently deserves. Such an instrument can not make a musician, but it can inspire him.
