It is an awesome sounding guitar has a bit fuller sound than my old 402 with laminated mahoghany.
I record with a fishman sbt-c transducer (top mount)into the computer it sounds beautiful.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Some have told the action is too high but I think it's great.
The top isn't a perfect bookmatch but you can't expect it for the money.
No flaws for this baby not like my 402 was glue flaws.

the almansa 434 was constructed in almansa spain.the company almansa, has a small factory that they make their guitars in, but even so it is obvious that great care is taken in making the guitars. if you are spending alot of money on a guitar make sure you buy one from spain, the reason because spain is the place of birth of classical guitar. the guitar has 18.5 frets (standard amount of frets for classical guitars).it has a solid cedar top with laminated rosewood back and sides.the neck is maple i think! the wood grain on the neck is very nice but the grain could have been a bit better for the price.the saddle is made of rosewood and looks stunning!the headstock is cedar with a thin strip of rosewood on the surface. it has gold hardware on the headstock with fancy looking tuners.it has quite a wide neck which is a tiny disadvantage when a begginer but has never really bothered me. there is not a hard case or gig bag supplied with this guitar which was a bit dissapointing for the price but i am not complaining because for a guitar of this price it responds like a guitar of twice it's price.

my music style is francisco tarrega, isaac albeniz, fernando sor, mostly romantic period stuff.it has a beautiful sweet sound with sustaining treble notes and soft bass notes which i find is perfect for the music i play.it has a lot of projection especially in the treble notes.i have no real dislikes with the sound.

the action is a bit high but it is adjustable. the test for this is:to extend an imaginery line down to the bridge, if the line hits the bridge above half way it's height, then the action is adjustable (below half way and it is not adjustable). i have noticed that the nut is about 1/16 of an inch out of line which causes no problem for the sound just looks like it's been a bit rushed putting on. the top is exactly the same colour as they show in books, internet etc. the bridge seems perfectly in line with the guitar top.the fretwire is filed well but looks a bit tarnished.

i have only had it for about 2 months and have played it in front of an audience in a big room and it fills the room well with sound and does not get drowned out with the amount of people in the room. the hardware is lasting well and has had no problems so far. the finish has a thick coat of varnish that seems solid and not thin and easy to wear off. it is a reliable guitar but i have a feeling that the out of line nut is making the tuning go out more than it should.

i have been playing for three years and it is the best guitar i own. i play a fender powerhouse strat through an rp7 digitech pedal through a fender roc pro 1000 amp. i also own an acoustic steel strung sigma, martin guitar. always ask whether the shop bought it from the company, (almansa in this case).if it was stolen i would buy the same guitar. i am in love with the sound but i am dissapointed with the nut being 1/16th of an inch out of line. i compared it to a rodriguez mod b and rodriguez model a which were between the prices 299 and 340 and the mod a for 340 was miles away in terms of sound and craftsmanship.

This is a brand new guitar so I'm guessing it was made recently. It was made in Spain which is nicer than it being made in China or Korea. It's got 18.5 frets like a standard classical. Solid cedar top with laminated rosewood sides and an ebony fingerboard (nice!). It's got a thick coat of gloss on it, you can just see it's pretty thick. Although they must have finished this one with the doors wide open cause it's got little imperfections in it that irritate me a bit. It's got a standard classical body style with gold plated tuners (nice!). The rosette is beautiful... it looks like a piece of tapestry they finished over on the guitar. Excellent construction... I love it... except for those damn dust spots in the finish.

This is a classical guitar so obviously it's meant for picking. About the sound... I have a Montana CL242 solid top classical guitar and when played side by side with the Almansa the Montana sounds like a toy. You get what you pay for. Full tone on the treble strings. Warm tone on the bass strings. Sounds like a dream when played in a small closed room.

Action is standard for a classical. I found one flaw at the base of the neck... looks like someone got impatient cutting the thing... and the gloss is THICK... well when compared to my Montana. Let's just say it's thicker than most guitars out there... I don't know if that's good or bad but it sure looks nice. And those damn flaws in the finish....

I've been playing now for five years. I've only had one other classical and it was my Montana. Although it was a good guitar to start with... I knew nothing of guitar... actually my first guitar was a $35 Avila with a crack right on its ass. But it came with a hardshell case so it was worth it I guess. Anyway the Montana was good until recently I felt I juiced as much tone as I could out of it and needed something better. Actually to tell the truth I went in the store to buy a guitar pillow (Yes guitars need pillows too) and ended up buying this beauty. Damn temptation. If it were stolen I probably wouldn't buy another one cause I'm broke. I LOVE the sound... after years of playing the Montana the Almansa just sounds like a dream. When I'm in school all I can think about is going home and playing it. Although I really do hate thost dust specks! It was a tossup between this guitar and a used Takamine but I was $100 short for the Tak so I got this one. No Regrets... I LOOOOVE this guitar.
