This guitar can do anything in the general acoustic range of folk & blue grass music, and does well for blues, pop and R&B too... it has a terrific voice with a clear high tone and depth as well...

The guitar was old when it was given to me and the action was a bit high, but I think this was due to the bridge (not it's saddle) rising with age... I took it to an experienced luthier and he lowered the action and now it plays like a dream.

I have spent countless hours playing as a street performer with thsi instrument and it holds up just fine... have seldom had to retune, which says volumes about the quaility of Yari's machine heads!

I love this guitar... and find it to be equal to a top of the line "The Heritage" dreadnaut I'd owned a couple of decades ago.

It'a a 1983, so it's about 17 years old. Mahogany Dreadnaught, spruce top, glue in 20 fret neck, med width, fat frets, flamed/sunburst finish, high gloss. non-locking tuners. Comes with hard shell case (not the best, started coming apart)

I play mostly blues and R&B, some classic rock, all unplugged, but with mic. sometimes. has a very clear. bright treble, excellent midrange, and a booming bass response, however, the bass is a touch muddy. Excellent Fidelity and timbre ALL THE WAY UP the neck! It has exceptional volume, so no trouble being heard, and the clarity of sound, especially treble allows you to hear every shimmering overtone when playing chords and double stops

well, I got it used, so I can't say how it came from the factory, but, when I got it, it was set up like a dream. just one good ding in the top, and some pick scratching on the pick guard, but over-all great fit and finish. action is fast and smooth. very low w/no string buzz

This guitar (in my experiance) will stand up to anything you throw at it. Good hardware, the finish is tough, the wood hard, and I would have no qualms abould playing live with no backup. Only thing I worry about is it getting stolen

I've been playing for 6 years. also have an electric W/amp and an old Classical. If it were stolen, I would search the world over for another one...or a Gibson Hummingbird. I absolutely love the sound, the finish is good, but the neck is a bit fat for my tastes. I compared it to plenty of other guitars in my price range, but I have to admit, the minute I heard it, I Knew I was going to buy it. (I looked around anyway, just to be polite) I wish it had an acoustic pickup, but it's not really necessary
