This thing has 22 frets, 24 3\4 inch scale, 2 tone, 2 volume controls, 3-way pickup selector, two humbucker pickups, passive electroncs. According to that russian website it has a basswood/ash body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Sunburst finish, body very similar to Les Paul, though with sharper horn, tun-o-matic bridge, non locking tuners. I think it kinda has what it should have.

Sound : 7
I play all kind of rock, punk to metal to pop and this guitar kind of suits it. Though THIS IS MY FIRST ELECTRIC AND I HAVE IT ONLY FOR HALF A YEAR. I play it through a marshall mg15cd amp. I think the sound is ok, but remember, its my first electric. You can get a jazz tone, something bluesy, something a lot like ac/dc, even a little twangy, stratocastery sound with bridge pickup and low gain. But not a very powerfull sound with rythm pickup and bass turned up on the amp. I think the clean sound is realy nice. I doesnt seem to be very muddy, but still is warm and stuff. Overall, i think the sound could be clearer and more powerfull - probably better pickups would help.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
Bought this used so i dont know how it was setup at the factory. I think the bridge tends to brake strings - if i get too excited playing some easy powerchord stuff and strike the strings to hard, E or A string would brake at the bridge area. It happened to me only twice but it was annoying. Im using .009 - .046 strings though, maybe 10s would help.
Bookmatching isn't great but doesn't catch eye because the wood isn't quilted or stuff like that. Pots and pickup selector are nice, they get very noisy if connected directly to computer but no noise if played through an amp. I don't see any problems with finish but i dont realy know what a flaw is. Everything is ok except, maybe for that bridge.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I would use this guitar live without backup cause i don't have one. I think it should last, it looks solid.

I have been playing for about 1.5 year and about 0.5 year electric. I was looking for a cheap non-stratocaster, vintage-looking guitar and this one is it. If it were stolen or lost (I cant resist asking how do you lose a guitar) i would check out Vintage sg copies as I always wanted an sg.
I love the look of it, a true Les Paul with that nice warm sunburst finish. I guess it could have more powerful pickups but i'm satisfied with it. Overall i think i would give it ant 8 because its not a real Gibson but its playable, it sounds decent and looks good. Though don't forget that its my firsy electric...

This is a copy of Les Paul. So, it has two humbuckers, wide neck, stop tailpiece, and all that goes with LP design. The only non-LP feature is bolt-on neck. Finish is plain black. It is made in china. It even has a Quality Control sticker (WOW!) :) It's body is made of basswood, fretboard is rosewood, and neck is unknown wood.

No one has the right to complain about its sound. You can't expect much for that price. But let me describe it anyway. It sounds very soft. It's like you've recorded something at 44100 Hz and then played it back at 22050 Hz. That's why you can't really play heavy metal with it, but it is OK for blues. I have a Marshall MG 15 amp, and it's a great amp for home use, so it boosts the performance of this guitar a little bit.

Set-up at the factory? I don't think these guys do that at all :) I had to do everything myself. But, I don't mind doing it. The finish is lousy. The binding on the neck was dirty (!?). When i looked at it carefully i saw black stains of some kind. I tried washing it with water, soap and alcohole, and finaly i took a razor and removed the stains the "hard" way.

Frets are low quality. I get buzz from 12th fret if i hit the strings a little harder. Obviously, the 13th fret is higer than the rest and it creates buzz. The potentiometers are awful. As I increase the volume on neck pickup, i clearly hear a "bump" near the end of the turn.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I think that the best purpose of this guitar is to smash it at the concert and look cool :) Or not... because, you would have to work really hard to destroy this piece of wood. It is very durable. I've dropped it a few times, at some pretty bad angles (neck down) and it survived. And it doesn't scratch easily. Strap buttons seem tough, too.

I would not gig with it, but i've seen people gig with far worse guitars.

No customer support whatsoever. No one has ever heard of the brand. I've somehow found something that looks like a website of apollo, but it is in russian:

This guitar is worth exactly the price you pay for it. It is extremely cheap (although not the cheapest Les Paul copy from Apollo). The only thing good about it is its durability. It is good for beginners. The worst thing about it are the frets. If only frets were OK, i would recommend it
