Made in China, SG shaped guitar with P-90 dog ear style pickup. One pickup and one each tone and volume control. Set neck, solid (not Plywood) guitar. Not sure of what wood type, but guitar has a very solid feel. The knobs for tone and volume control are cheap, and the pickguard is cheap looking. Overall, constuction looks pretty good.

Sound : 10
Okay, this is where this guitar is in it's glory. Pure p-90 woman tone. Sounds excellent distorted, overdriven or clean. Biggest and most pleasant surprise is that the tone control is linear. You can really adjust the sound on this puppy. The pickup is surprisingly quiet, and the tone is unbelievable, making me wonder just who supplies this for them. Sounds very good, like the GFS soapbar pickup.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
The guitar was put together very nicely. THe plastic on it makes it look cheap and to be fair, I got this at a real bargain basement price because of a big chip in the finish on one of the horns, so to me, this is a total steal. Pain and finish are decent, and overall the guitar looks good.

Reliability/Durability : 8
This guitar seems to be very solid. Looks and plays like it could gig without a backup. Finish is very good for an inexpensive guitar, and the tuners appear to hold the guitar in tune. The tuners are sealed and look like they are of decent quality.

Overall, I am extremely please with this guitar. I have seen them on ebay for 280 dollars. I got this at a music go round store and it was like new old stock. There was still plastic covering the pickup and cable jack plate. If it was stolen, I would probably cry as I got this at a great price. The sound coming out of this guitar is amazing, and rates with guitars costing many times more. I need more time with this guitar, but overall I am very satisfies with it. Not being rich, I tend to buy guitars either used, or look for real bargains. I also own a Squier Telecaster, which is okay, but I will be replacing all the electronics as that is the guitar's weak point. I also own a Turbo made by Sunllite Strat copy which is freaking unbelievable in its build quality and sound, and a First Act me 531 which I Frankensteined with Mighty Mite pickups and new tone and volume pots, and which is turning out to be an alright guitar, one that cost me a grand total of eighty bucks. But this one, the Lyric, with it's tone, is turning into a favorite.
