I don't know when it was made. It was made in Korea and i bought it in a guitar store in Taiwan. It has 22 frets, laminated top, one tone and one volume control, 5way selector switch. it looks like a jackson .. it has locking tuners( a must for floyd rose bridges)..it has a thin neck and medium frets which is good for doing solos..

i play blues and metal and the guitar is a screamer since it has very high gain. i use an ordinary dean markley amp and it sounds well without the gadgets.. one problem though, it sounds noisy when i use the two single coils once i step on the distortion(lots of feedback!).. i have no comment on the humbucker, it sounds perfect in every way...

the guitar was ok when i bought it but it didn't exactly suit my needs.. i had to lower the strings to the fretboard a bit... i replaced the strings with D'Addario light gauge and it was doing good..

well it depends on the music you're playing.. if you don't need to switch pickups then it's worth it... my guitar's 5way switch is messed up that i'd have to move it around before it gets to working again... (guess i'd have to clean the contacts...no comment on the strap buttons(i don't have a band so i play the guitar sitting down most of the time).. and oh, the third fret near the high E string is partly detached from the fretboard..

i have been playing all my freaking life. i also own an ART Extreme distortion .. if my excel series were stolen,i'd cry....but i'd buy a fender strat.. or a jackson.. what i love about it is it's thin neck(since i love doing solos and worse at chords) ... what i don't like about it is that it's not durable enough..i'm afraid i can't let it fall off..
