It was made in 1986 in Japan.Has 22 frets, and laminated top.Has one volume and one tone knob.I have EMG select pickups on it which sound great on it,it originally had 2 humbuckers.I believe it has a maple neck im not sure.It has a cream finish, and has cutaways on both sides of the neck.it has an actex bridge on it and factory tuners and it stays in tune like a charm. The neck is comfortabley medium sized. There was nothing included.
Sound
:

I play mostly metal/screamo and it is very well for playing that genre of music.I use a crappy fender 15r amp i mostly use a DOD stereo flanger. There is some buzzing when my hand is not barring the strings but not noticable unless your a nitpicker.Has a very rich bright sound, with this guitar you have the key to 100's of sounds. My likes are you can have a deep well like sound for melodies and tapping parts and than a high overdrivven sort of sound for more of a metaly sound.

The action is great now but I have no idea of how it was from the factory, being that im 13 and it was made in 86.

This guitar will withstand live playing and the hardware has lasted this long and the only adjustment im going to make is that im getting the frets filed and crowned. The finish is Very thick and will last with any sort of playing. The strap buttons are very solid.I can depend on it,and yes i would use it at a gig without a backup. Its been thrown across the living room before and the jack input has been sat on by a fat bastard and chipped the finish a bit around the input,so it if withstood that i think it could handle a gig.

Ive been playing for about 7 years now.I started out using a squier mini strat with select(EMG) pickups,I also use a fender f-210 acoustic,a squier p-bass,I have what i believe is a mid 60's harmony silvertone, and a triumph. I use alot of effects but if i had to choose between them all id have to say my flanger and delay sound the best together. If my straycat got stolen i would probably kill someone to get it back, the only guitar i would get besides this one if it got stolen would be a gibson les paul nothing else.

I bought it at a pawn shop with a cheap 20' cord and a 15 watt amp for $100

I personally love the sound of the double humbuckers, which i replaced whith 1 seymour duncan screamin' demon and 1 seymour duncan distortion pickup. had a bad ground but I fixed that so now it sounds great although I lost my coil tap when I replaced the pickups. I also use a metal zone and a bad monkey for stompboxes my 120 watt crate amp also has 16 digital effects.

No idea on when this was made. I picked up a used, semi beat up version off of Ebay for $75 w/o a case. Its a ruby red with two humbuckers, one volume, one tone with coil tap, and tremelo. My first "real" guitar was a Aria Pro II Bobcat with 3 single coils and that was over 20 years ago when I first started playing guitar seriously. I missed that guitar so when I saw one on ebay for $75, I said what the hell!
Sound
:
7
The guitar is a little noisy, I don't know if the pickups are stock but I'm assuming so. Very microphonic pickups but that can be remedied easily with some parrafin wax. I'd have to say it sounds rather good. Its a bright sounding guitar with nice "twang" but enough Oomph for hard rock sounds. The neck is great to play on, super fast and slick not too thin or too fat but just right. This coming from a PRS man (I've owned and still own PRS guitars). The coil tap is fun for getting that funky twang going. I've installed a Torres Midrange pot to beef up the output and tone a bit since I don't want to put money into pickups right now.

I'd have to say this is becoming a favorite to play, not because its such a well built guitar, but because I don't care how I treat it (as with my PRS')and its still satisfies. I guess its like that girl / boyfriend that no matter how bad you treat her / him, they still come back for more and treat you well ;-)

This model was made between 1984 and 1986. I bought this one in 1986. 22 frets, nice cutaway for playing leads all the way up the neck. Has 2 double humbucking pickups that can be switched to single coil by pulling the tone nob up. Fairly narrow maple bolt-on neck with rosewood fingerboard. I'm not sure of the body. Candy apple red fairly unique style comparable to strat but different. Generic tremelo system.
Sound
:

This guitar sounds nice. Easily handles 80's metal sound or classic rock. I used to play it through a yahama stack that sounded fantastic, unfortunately it was stolen. I now play it through a Peavy stack and it sounds very good with that too. Its narrow neck and amaizing action make this a real shredder. The tremelo works nice for a plain generic version and the guitar stays in tune well when it is used. I have no complaints about it.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:
8
When I got this guitar back in 1986, the action was lousy. I tweeked it up myself and am very happy with it now. I also had to adjust the pickups, that was easy. A shiny guitar, tight and solid.

I have been playing, gigging and beating this guitar for 18 years. It takes a lickin' and keeps on rockin'. I'm very impressed at how well this guitar has stood the test of time. Its still got a lot of years left on it if the last 18 are any indication. It has a lot of nicks and bruises in its finish, due to my playing style that often includes crashing to the ground but all in all it remains solid as a tank. I replaced the strap buttons with a schaler straplock system(don't know why anyone wouldn't with any guitar). I have gigged with this guitar many many times without a backup and it has never let me down. It's like an old friend.

I would say the features are adequate. There are two pickups, and a threeway selector. The neck is thick but not too thick. It's very easy to put strings on which is very convenient--it was a pain in the ass to put strings on my old guitar.
Sound
:
3
The guitar has a pretty limited sound. It has kind of a dead sound, for lack of any other way to describe it. The pickups really don't sound very good, and I plan on replacing them soon. I'd say this guitar is really only good for playing rock/punk/metal. Right now I use it with a Crate 60 watt combo which obviously isn't that loud and there is a lot of feedback (though even at a lower volume without feedback it still sounds "dead", I must add)... I plan on getting an Orange or Marshall 300-400 watt cab and a 100-200 watt head and hopefully it will sound better on that. If it doesn't I think I will get a new guitar or at least new pickups as I've mentioned.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:
4
The action is surprisingly good. The one flaw on my guitar seems to be that the high E string pops out of the "slot" it's supposed to be in almost all the time and you can't play it without popping it back in. Luckily I don't use the E string too much... The frets also seem to be wearing away pretty easily.
Reliability/Durability
:
6
This guitar seems to withstand live playing. I have played a few shows with it without a backup (then again I didn't have much of a choice do to money issues, but I could have just borrowed someone elses.) The hardware seems like it will last better than my last one... at least it hasn't broken yet except when my friend traded with me the guitar was missing the bolts that keep the thing you wind the low E string around (sorry for my lack of knowledge of terminology.) Consequently the low E string constantly comes out of tune. Luckily, my band is so bad, that it really doesn't matter. This seems fairly fixable though, and I am going to attempt fixing this sometime soon, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Yeah I know, I'm lazy.

I have no idea if this was under warranty because I got it from somebody else. I haven't tried to get it repaired or dealt with the company, so I can't really give an opinion on this.

If this guitar was stolen, I would get a different guitar in a second. The only thing I really like about this guitar is if I mess it up it really doesn't matter. It just sounds awful. My other guitar, even though it basically completely fell apart, sounded about a million times better. So I would say the one benefit of this guitar is that it seems to hold up okay. With new pickups and some love and care, nice strings, etc, I think this guitar could potentially be decent. I haven't yet decided if it's worth investing that much in this guitar, though, or if I should just buy a new one. Anyway, if this is your first guitar, and you see a really good deal on it, I would say go for it. Otherwise, it's probably not worth paying the full price for.

I know the guitar was made in Japan but don't know when. It has 2 humbuckers with a 3 way switch. It has a tremolo bridge. Every thinh on it is orginal. Has a thin neck with a thick body. The guitar isn't very heavy.
Sound
:
7
I play mostly rock and metal on it. The bridge pickup is the loudest. The Humbuckers can be adjusted. The guitar isn't grounded properly. When the tone knob is set all the way up it makes a fuzzing sound. When you start playing it sounds good. Has lots of sustain. I've hooked it up to all different types of pedals and amps and it sounds great.

The body is really thick. I bought it used and had some paint chips. The paint comes in a thick layer. The bridge had a little rust. It didn't come with any knobs.

Since i got it about three years ago no paint chips have happened. My little brother sometimes gets it and drops it but the sound doesn't chnage. It my only guitar and i play it alot. The sound hasnt changed in 3 years. The only thing that has broken was a tuner but those are cheap to replace.

not sure the year or where it was made, but I got it from my neighbor for x-mas last year, (he was going to throw it out) but I wanted a second electric (I also have a warlock), so here Iam with a guitar I have never heard of in my life, only to find out it is a dream! I have used this guitar almost exclusivly for a year and it is one of the higher in tone and durability.

I was on a trip to Las Vegas when I realized the luggage was not strapped to the top of the car except for a small amount of duct tape I had put on. I slowed down, and as pulled to the side of the road, I hear banging and then a dull thud...which was my gig bag falling off the top of my car at 45 mph!! it had a small abrasion on the base of the body from where the zipper popped and the guitar hit the ground, but it has served me well

Mid-eighties, made in Japan. Strat shape, two humbucking pickups, standard tremolo. I got it used from my dad's friend so I don't know what it came with. Nice thin maple bolt-on neck with rosewood fingerboard. It has a glossy black finish and chrome hardwear.
Sound
:
8
I play everything from blues to hardrock. It fits almost every
musical style except maybe jazz. The humbuckers are pretty weak. They both sound pretty much the same so i am going to replace the bridge 'bucker with a Seymoure Duncan Invader pickup. I have a crappy Roland amp, a Danelectro Fab Tone distortion pedal, and a Dunlop wah. The amp sucks so I am going to get a Hughes and Kettner.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:
6
The action was perfect when I got it but it was used so the action has probably been set before. The finish is flawless. It is about fifteen years old so it has its share of knicks and scratches. I had to reset th pickups to my liking. The tuners suck. They must be the factory tuners because since eveyting is original.
Reliability/Durability
:

It will definately hold up to live playing. The harware is kind of crappy so I will probably replace most of it. The wood is rock solid. I have dropped it, knocked it over and thrown it across my bedroom. It will last. The most that has happened is a tiny dint in the neck. It probably would have snaped a Gibson SG's neck in half. I will probably gig without a backup, it is that well built. Some great stuff has come out of Japan.

It is a 22-fret, asian built, 1 tone, 1 vol., 3 pos. pickup slector, 2 hummerbucking little monster.. It has a strat style body minus the pick guard. It is mostly a more lead playing guitar in my opinion. It is the first guitar that I ever owned so I didn't know that it was a good deal at that point. But noe that I have owned a Yamaha Pacifica and a Fender Strat and many other "name brand" guitars I reallise what a good guitar it is.
Sound
:
7
Awesome sound... I mean to LP or Strat... but it does have a distincted sound. And it doesn't sound cheap at all. It sounds alot like a Ibanez. It is good for grunge. I play mostly jazz, so I don't know if it really suits me. But it does have a good sound. I use a Sound Tech sound system and a Korg effects pedal with it and sound good. It has a very bright sound. Not exactly a Cat Stevens style of guitar.. but if you like Zak Wydle or a matter fact any guitar player for Ozzy's style that this is the AX. It was a nice 80's ring. Good sustain and it can squile like a piggy.

:

Lovely finish, nice red color. The action is out standing for solo guitaring. I like my close to the frets so I can move faster. And it doesn't have nasty rings from the to close action. It was made for that kind of play it seems.

But it is good guitar. I wish it had a name brand so it would get more respect for it's good sound.
