This guitar was made in 1977 in Japan. It has 20 frets. Small body. A solid flat spruce top. Dark mahogany sides and back. Rosewood fingerboards w/pearl dots. Martin head w/sperzel tuners. White binding w/black pinstriping on top. White binding on the sides at the back. Nickel strap buttons top and bottom. Black pickguard w/gold graphic.

It has a very nice sound, but not a big/full sound. Surely due to the smaller body. I play mostly blues, and it sounds better than some, but not as full as many other guitars. It has a pretty good sound for play'n blues. It'll hold it's tuning well, and has pretty decent sustain for a small acoustic.

Very Nice fit and finish. But here's where the guitar has it's drawback. What a high action this guitar has! I hope you've got some serious callus built up. When you get to the high end of the fingerboards, you're workin'! I've had it adjusted and it's still the highest action I've ever seen on a guitar of it's type.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I've had this guitar since 1984. And It was a gift from my Brother, and he bought it new. I've never cased it, and I carried it around in my 18 wheeler for years. That being said. I've been careful with it, considering what I just told ya. It's in great shape. Throw some conditioner on it and it looks showroom new! This guitar is sturdy and solid. Very dependable. Holds it's tuning. Good hardware.

My first guitar was a '63 (pre CBS) Telecaster (bought in '84). I currently have an '82 Les Paul XrIII. This is the only acoustic I own, and I've had it since '84. I don't think I'd buy another if it were lost or stolen. Like I said, great fit and finish, reliable, sturdy, but the action is way too high.

This is an old acoustic guitar. It's made in Japan, and seems to be very solid. It has a solid spruce top with beautiful dark sides and back. It has 20 frets with pearl dot markers. It has large frets and is a smaller body guitar.

Sound : 9
This being a smaller body guitar, has excellent sound. It seems to have excellent sustain. It just keeps ringing. There is good balance accross the spectrum of sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
This guitar had a little higher action than I like, but it has an adjustable bridge, so it was no problem to adjust. It has top and bottom strap knobs, and seems to be well made. Mine has a few scars on the face, but not from it's making. Someone just didn't protect this very well when they played. I would have loved to see this brand new. I'm sure it was spectacular. It's still outstanding even with the nicks, and marks.

Reliability/Durability : 10
It all seems solid.

I own many guitars and have been involved with music for all of my life. I have never seen another one of these, but I'll be looking. This will make a great addition to anyone's collection of fine guitars. The only thing I would change on this, is the tuners. I just don't care as much for the spertzel type tuners. I love older seasoned guitars, and this is one of those.
