2002? guitar, aria made in asia solid spruce top with fake? mother of pearl around soundhole. good hardware, but plastic nut, mostly rosewood for the rest of body, small parlor style guitar....docked it cause with so many nut options, why use plastic?

i play rock and country-ish, this guitar is well suited to midrange and treble sounds, but has a good bottom end too, though not like any dreadnaughts/big boomer acoustics. sounds really great! I mean it has a lot of life and sparkle (i guess) that i only found with high end guitars (while this one was very affordable)....much better than many of the american brands....but probably closest to a blueridge. I like everything but the AM logo....it seems to be a paint-transfer decal or similar and is silver while the rest is gold...but whatever, I just love the sound and thats fine.

guitar was slightly second-hand and had been fixed...but the overall setup and quality is outstanding....better than my old yamaha FG400 and midrange fenders/washburns/ibanezzzz. the nut and bridge were perfect but again...i didnt get this brand spankin...

playing for 20 years, have owned too much equipment. this axe is perfect for recording and stagework, sounds clear and bright. I would get another one if damaged/stolen. Compared it to many guitars over the years(takamine, fender, gibson montana, yamaha and washburn, blueridge etc..) and thought I wanted an old acoustic with (aged wood) a unique sound but wound up with this and am glad I got it...highly recommmended...of course this suits my sound to a t, but remember that acoustic guitars canot be altered for sound like electrics so be sure you listen before you buy
