Korean made 335 copy with a larger lower bout.

Great blues sound. I play blues and blues based rock. Sounds great acoustically and plugged into any amp (even a solid state Crate practice amp). Very warm, creamy sounding. One of the nicest sounding guitars I have ever played.

Action was too high and guitar needed a complete setup. The toggle switch was loose and I later found out that it was defective and needed replacement. The neck and fretwork are very nice.
Here is the really bad news. I had to return the guitar after 3 weeks because the first two frets started buzzing. Even the low E and A strings buzzed when struck. Tried to adjust the truss rod but couldn't get fix the first two frets without screwing up the rest of the action. The neck had not only warped but had twisted. I guess the trip from Korea was very humid and my airconditioned house was a bad combination. I chose to get a refund instead of exchange. Very dissapointing.

It should. Make sure you play it first and play it often until the warantee runs out.

Been playing for 30 years. I own a strat, an Ibanez acoustic and a Raven RP450. My main amp is an all tube Peavy Delta Blues 210.
Sorry guys, I really wanted to like it.........

Don't know what year it was made. I think Aslin Danes are made in New York. 2 volume, 2 tone, 3 way selector. H/H. Don't know about the pickups. Rosewood fretboard, don't know about neck or body. Looks like a Gibson ES-135. I don't know much about the guitar because it's not mine, it's my best friend's brother's. Anyways...I guess I don't really have an opinion about the features, seemed fine for what it is.

This is where this baby shines. I've never been accepting to knock off brands, and thats what Aslin Dane strikes me as, but this is just a quality guitar for the money (I think he bought it for around $400). It can play pretty much anything, but I used it for my rock band's practice today and it covered the bases for our punk songs, alt rock songs, straight up rock songs, clean songs, and even not plugged in it had an amazingly good acoustic sound. Really warm. I'm sure it might be able to work for hard rock with pedals, but I wasn't able to coax that sound out with my Fender amp. I say just keep it to any kind of music but metal and you'll be very happy. Really quite versatile. I did notice some hum when I stood close to my amp, but I suppose that comes with the territory with a hollowbody. Nevertheless, I was impressed. Not perfect, but I thought it was really good. Really nice rock crunch for playing straight up rock with the gain not all the way up, I liked it. The humbuckers are not as harsh as the one in my Fender Cyclone, it's a really smooth sound even on overdrive, but I liked that difference a lot. Now I'm just repeating myself really, but metalheads probably should look elsewhere despite it being a very versatile guitar. That's it.

Pretty much everything was just fine on the guitar. There was some slight fret buzz but besides that I really can't think of any flaws. I'm not a big fan of painted necks, they're fine, it's just my preference for unpainted. Of course I will be buying a Les Paul soon, so I suppose I could get used to it. Pretty good all the way around, couple points knocked off for the slight buzz I experienced.

This is kinda where I lay down the law. Everything about this guitar I played seemed durable and built to last for years and years to come...except the strap buttons. I was playing my band's (www.minded.cjb.net, we don't have anything that good on the site yet unless you like news...uh yeah) songs with my lead singer to one of his friends to critique sitting down and I felt moved to stand up and rock with one of our trademark rock tunes and right as I stood up the strap button fell out of the guitar. I put it back in before anyone noticed, but it obviously was never secure in there. I don't know if its with all Aslin Danes or just this exact guitar he bought, I'm sure it's just a coincidence, but I could never play this thing live if it had those strap buttons in. Other than that it seems fine. I'm gonna have to give this category a low rating just because it's all I have to go by. I would gig with a backup anyway, but I'd definitely have one for this if strap buttons are a conistent problem. Then again, as I said, even if they're not, it's good to have a backup.

It's my friend's brother's guitar as I said earlier, I don't even think he's contacted them. No comment.

I've been playing for 3 years. As I said, I have a band called minded that plays almost all original songs and a couple covers, about to start gigging and recording an album. I play rock, alternative, hard rock, pop rock...we play a lot of rock music. I also kind of play some folksy music on my own. Other guitars I own, well, I only own a Fender Cyclone. I have a cheap Fender amp (this and all guitars would probably sound better through a better amp). The clean and acoustic sounds of this Aslin Dane blew away my Cyclone and the drive sound was different and unique from it in its own way. I don't think I'm gonna buy myself one because I'm set on a Les Paul, but if I had a lot of cash (like $5000 or something) I may just pick me up one of these. The sound of it was really good, thats what really sold me on it, it was also pretty comfortable. Negatives were of course the hum and the strap buttons, both of which can be solved with some cash put into it. It's just a pretty cool guitar. If you want a guitar thats around $400, is pretty versatile, and is just a good all around guitar for the money, this is probably it. It has a totally different sound than the other guitars in the price range, different from Fenders, Ibanez's, Epiphones, and the like. Very unique, not for metalheads once again probably, unless you guys feel moved to buy it maybe you could try really hard to get a good metal sound out of it and you'll succeed, I just didn't really try that hard. I think that's about it, I was impressed, not impressed enough to buy one with money an issue for me as it is, but nonetheless, I was impressed.

been playing for 10 years, i love its versitility , hate the crapy hard ware ( no one likes to drill new holes in their guitars ),its alot softer on the fingers than a gibson hollowbody even with 13's!
i needed a real jazz guitar and saw this one, affordable and beutiful, plus a better position for the toggle switch than a es 175.
i wish it were alot bigger,(i.e.) deeper and wider...not everyone is built under 6'3".

Sorry, but I don't know enough about guitars to report on every single feature. All I can tell you is that this guitar plays as well as my Gibson and Epiphones. OK, maybe it doesn't quit have the buttery-neck feel of my Gibson 125 and 175 - but it's close.
Here's the features Aslin Dane's website reports for this guitar:
*Full Body Arched top * Single cutaway *Carved Solid sides *2 Covered humbucking Pick-ups * Semi Electric *Maple Neck w/Superphenol * Stop tailpiece * Die-cast tuners *3 position-toggle switch * 2 Volume, 2 Tone *Chrome Hardware

Suits me just fine! I play mostly blues and jazz - and the neck is very easy to get around on. Set to very low action - and it is buzz free. Sound is rich and full even at low volume.

Set up very well at the factory. Again, low action without any buzz or hum. Pickups were a little low but easy to adjust. A very pretty tobacco sunburst finish. Nothing loose or flawed.

I'm confident that the guitar will handle my heavy use as everything seems solid and firm. I will use this guitar to perform and practice on, so it will get a considerable amount of use.

I have dealt with the company and they solved a problem without any hassle to me. As this is a new guitar the fact that they provided great support and customer service is very important. The concern was solved with 2 emails. The warranty is a Limited Life Time.
