I find the Aslin Dane Vernon Reid model to have a good variety of sound options. Works well for Funk, semi distiortion, heavy distortion, and Jazz tones. Of course the hex pickup enables you to get even more sounds and colors.

I've played this guitar at trade shows demonstrating the Axon guitar synth and I feel quite comfortable playing this guitar. I'm able to keep the action low with out buzzing. I'm also quite taken with the burgandy finish I chose.

I'm the Axon Guitar snyth demonstrator and I find this guitar to track very well with the synth. combined with how easy it is to play and the variety of tones it gets, I'd say this is an excellent guitar that would work well for many stylists.

This cool model was designed by Aslin Dane owners and Vernon Reid. A "Picasso-esque", cubist idea by Vernon, inspired by Picasso's Guitar sculptures seen in Spain on one of his tours.
it has a 3 piece maple neck, hand carved out to a deep V, with a Super Phenol composite fingerboard. Very fast and solid. The tuners are a new cool design bt Aslin Dane called micro disk, these lay flat against the side of the headstock and micro adjust like fine tuners. Very accurate and smooth. There is a locking Floyd Rose trem and Roland GK-2A kit installed making it midi ready
The body is solid ash with a HB-S-S pickup configuration.
The USA model I have, features Vintage plus Strat stylepickups (by Harmonic Design)and a 59 style by the same company. It comes stock with a Cobalt, medicine bottle blue finish, but thay have a purple burst which is to die for too. Kind of a light purpley mauve finish. Hand rubbed.

The pickups are loud but quiet. Even the singles...buttery and very stratty in spite of the output. The in between positions are Clapton-esque.
Overall tone is as good as you could want.
The bridge pickup is very vintage and bluesy. Cleans up nicey with a volume twist...good jazz tone too

company is very friendly and knowledgable. They answered my emails and questions quickly from their website. I called and spoke to them as well, top find out about the pickups and spoke directly to the builders. Very cool.
Their site, however is not current. This model was not listed yet and as I later found out, they have a dozen or so more models that aren't listed. They sent literature which has a lot more electrics and acoustics on it and a matchless looking botique amp line. Come on guys...what are you waiting for??????? Apparently too busy building, I guess

Professional musician, 20 years....I own Kramers, Gibsons, Fenders and a BC Rich NJ
What I love about it? It's a very unusual shape, very solid instrument.
I like the hand shaped neck and custom pickups.
