Recently acquired Les paul style guitar (2 x humbucker with 2 x tone and 2 x volume controls). Exquisite quilted maple top, mahogany body/neck, ebony fingerboard with beautiful pearl/abalone inlays. Perfectly seated and well dressed jumbo frets. Stunning high gloss black tint laquer, and gold plated hardware. The hardware is Schaller, with Grover style tuners. Comes in a retro style tan case with groovy purple fur lining. I give this 10 out of 10, as no expense has been spared in making this guitar with all the features I will ever need

Sound : 10
I play blues rock, and all manner of other styles, and believe me this guitar has THE LOT! The ebony board and Atlas pickups have given this guitar more edge and bite than my Gibson Les Paul, which sounds positively 'muddy' by comparison. I use it through a Mesa Boogie Dual rectifier and Marshal 4x12" cab. On my days off it goes through a Fender Tremolux stack, or a Fender Twin. Rich full sound that never dissapoints. Cuts through well against the rest of the band. This guitar also stays in tune perfectly, which my Gibson doesn't. I've used it in 115 degree heat in Greece, tropical humidity in Barbados, and at cold and damp outdoor festivals here in the UK. It never lets me down, or drops its tuning - which is invaluable for a professional musician.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
When my Atlas guitar arrived, it was put straight onstage, and used for a full 1 1/2 hour show. It was perfectly set up, and flawlessly finished. It played like a dream and was ready to use straight out of its case. I cannot fault the standard of craftsmanship or set-up (I used to make guitars, and do quality control for a top UK manufacturer)

Reliability/Durability : 10
I use my Atlas guitar exclusively now, and its the first thing I reach for before I hit the road for a gig. It has never lat me down, and the finish and harware have stood up brilliantly to the 100 or so gigs I have done since it arrived. I must comment on the durability of the finish. No matter how much sweat and abuse it gets, a quick polish with a duster, and it looks like new. The same cannot be said of my Gibson, which hasn't weathered at all well in comparison. I always have my Gibson on stage as a spare, but have not had to use it to date...

Customer Support : 10
Customer service/support has been second to none from Paul, Andrew and the Atlas team. They always reply to my email enquiries, and have been great allies since I started using their guitars. They are always friendly and helpful, and pleased to hear from anyone who uses their instruments.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing professionally for 15 years now, and own all manner of guitars (Strats, Teles, Les Pauls, a Gretsch and a Flying V) the Atlas is first choice. If it were lost or stolen I would be devastated, and immediatley put in an order for another. What I like about it is that is a guitar that has been made without compromise, and put together with the sort of expertise and craftsmanship that is hard to find these days, and would put most other manufacturers to shame. Everyone should try one and see/hear what I'm talking about. I'm just about to order a second Atlas guitar that's just about the best testimony you can get...

Sound : 10
I play Rock to Heavy Rock.

This was made for Blues and Rock.

I have amazing sustain, I can also get some of the sweetest tones, due to the split coils.

This would have to be the best built Guitar I own.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Action was set up perfect.

If you have never played on a Ebony Fretboard, than you have never experienced true bliss. It's so silky smooth. Just think back when you played a Gibson - Black Beauty for the first time.

The attention to detail is simply amazing, Abalone and Mother of pearl Block Inlays.

3A Maple top, simply brilliant.

Pickups were just right, I play a lot of classic rock, this thing can do it all, ACDC, ZZ Top, Nickleback, 3 Doors down, Doors, Deep Purple.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This Guitar looks very solid.

Hardware are all top names, Wilkinson Tuners, Gotoh Bridge, they make and hand scatter wind their own Pickups.

This one very solid built guitar, built to be played.

Customer Support : 10
I have not needed any support.

I have dealt with Andrew all along the way, so if I did have a problem I would just send him an email.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing Guitar for 28 years, I have played them all. Name brands, No Name Brands.

Sadly all the Big name brands are out of reach for the normal guy, and frankly the quality is just not there. You are just paying for the name not the Guitar. I want a Guitar that plays great, not has a big name with a big price tag and plays like crap.

Thank God for Atlas, they are built better, play better and all musio's can afford one of their Hand made custom Guitars. The quality and attention to detail would make most of the big name hang their heads in shame.

I would not buy another Guitar from anyone else.

Les Paul type model. Features include pickup push pull to split pickups.

Sound : 10
The custom made Atlas pickups sound unreal in this guitar. The pickups I chose were the XS1 and XS2. I loved these pickups so much I ordered an extra set for another guitar. The guitar sounds just as sweet unplugged as it does plugged in. Great fat and clear tone here!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Like most guitars that are shipped the action needed to be adjusted but the finish on this baby was unreal. I ordered this one with a 5A flame top that is just amazing. The inlays are beautiful abalone mixed with pearl. The attention to detail is just amazing. I will be ordering another guitar from Atlas soon!

Reliability/Durability : 10
Top grade parts and workmanship. After I got the guitar set up it has played like a dream and I have not had any issues at all. The guitar is comfortable to play sounds great and it doesn't help that it is one of the most beautiful instruments I own!

Customer Support : 10
Andrew is top notch! I have had a couple emails that I think got lost but the team at Atlas has always been there to answer all questions on my order.

Overall Rating : 10
After this review I will be contacting Atlas on my second order. I am very happy with my first guitar and can't wait for my second, third and so on!
