Features : 10
It is a mahagonyback, neck, maple top ebony fretboard LP Premium plus copy.Beautiful transparent blackburst color.Much better than gibson models at $ 2500 range. Two hums made by Atlas.Neck is little fatter than 60's pauls but slimmer than 50's.non locking tuners but hold their tune fairly well.Jumbo frets are easy for bends.open book headstock with ivory color binding all around.abalon headstock butterfly inlay is extremely beautiful.other trapezoid inlays are MOP.Great quality. No compromise anywhere. Came with a brown case.

Sound : 10
i'm using the guitar with peavey classic series amps.no pedals whatsoever.the pickups are really quiet.Have a natural OD in them.the guitar itself is very heavy.Adds a lot of midrange to the sound.Good rock sound and 80's hard rock metal tone.I play rocl, blues, metal type of music so itsuits me fine. The pickups souned little compressed than I expected. Wish it was little more open for clean chords and solos. But if I back off the volume to 7 and tone to 8, it gives a very convincing Albert King tone.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Every thing was perfect from the factory.I just adjusted thed action to my liking. The only problem that i encountered happened 4 months later. The guitar started to show little air bubbles through the finish. The neck ,body ,headstock everywhere. That was because of the humid region where I live plus the paint was not dry enough. But to be fair to them I did not give them enough time to finish the drying process. They got 2 days to apply finish as I was there for a short trip.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar is built to last.So far no sign of wear. I do take very good care of all my guitars.I have 19 of them.Strap buttons are excellent.I will definitely gig without a backup.

Customer Support : 10
Customer had been really good so far.Andrew at the store is very helpfull. When notified about the air bubbles he assured to fix it when I go back there next time.Emails are promptly responed, unlike Gibson, fender.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
Been playing for a long time.have/had tons of guitar between this time. This was one of my better purchases.Too bad they do not make this model anymore.Probably because they were threatened by Gibson of copyright. For about 1/2 the price of a gibson standard plus you will get a much better guitar.i know because I have one of those also.If it was stolen i will definitely buy again from Atlas but just not the same model. It is only because of the guitar's weight,as i am trying to recover from a serious back injuty which maybe permanent.I will look for something lighter like Telstar or star sephire.
