Donna LoPrinzi at Augustino Guitars tells me she built this guitar in 1999 or 2000. Augie LoPrinzi and his daughter, Donna, build some of the highest quality guitars and ukes in the US. Yes, hand made in Clearwater, Florida, USA! The M-37 is auditorium size very much like the Martin 000M. Solid Spruce top with laminated Mahogany back and sides. The neck is Mahogony the fretboard is Rosewood (14 fret). The finish is satin. Tuners are USA made Grovers. I've installed an Acoustic Soundboard Transducer (1470 AST) and the A2 preamp. Both are made by B-Band. This is a nice looking guitar.

Sound : 10
This is my first concert or auditorium size guitar and I love it. I play praise and worship music at my church through the mixer and the sound from my M-37 is awesome...after a little tweaking. I do some folk fingerpicking, light rhythm and some blues outside the church scene. If you try to rock out with this size guitar, you won't like it as it tends to sound a little...well it's not as smooth. That's no ploblem for me because I'm a kinder-gentler player. Unplugged the sound is balanced and projects well.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Action, fit and finish is above average, as a hand made guitar should be.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I play almost everyday day, practice once a week at church for several hours and play sometimes two services at church on Sundays. My Augustino is holding up well. A real work horse.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had a ploblem.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing now for almost 40 years and have owned many guitars such as: Martin D-28, Guild D-40, Ovation 12 string, Ventura 12 String and an Alvarez-Yairi DY-someting or another...all dreadnoughts. Compared to the above listed guitars, this guitar is much more fun to play and fits more into my style of music. Would most definitely replace with another Augustino Guitar if lost or stolen.
