One piece! (That mythical thing that Gib5on claims is next to impossible without a huge markup) Mahogany body. Rock maple neck and fingerboard. Typical strat setup with 6 point trem, SSS (Throw away) pups, one volume two tone knobs. Medium Jumbo frets. HSS routing.
made in ???? China??? possibly Russia??? India????

Not even a serial number on it. So go figure.

Bought this thing new on an auction on Ebay. 107 Euros. for that the neck and Body are a steal. Hell the Body alone is a steal at 200 plus from Warmoth.

Give this a ten because although the hardware is cheap it is functional. Bought this with the idea of having a neck and body to work on/customise. Simple PUP exchang was all that was needed.

Sound : 7
Out of the box this thing was not suitable for anything other than a absolute beginner. Pups were thin and totally weak. Made my SX sound like GOD. Acoustically it was okay after a string change. Don't even ask about the strings those had to go! Acoustically this thing is pretty mid focused but that changes drastically with the right PUP. This thing has alot of Mass to bring to your ear in an acoustic setting at 10.4 pounds this thing make my Dean Evo seem like that chick from Allie McBeal.

I switched the Bridge to a GFS Bigmouth and threw the single coils from my SX in the other positions. After that this guitar just lit up. I play mostly in my Bedroom through a Black Box or Behringer Modeller. Or straight to computer for VST modellers. Ther is nothing I can't emulate with this guitar. Except a true country thwack sound ala Dwight Yoakum. But I can get that with another guitar if I want.

The body give me a great LPish roll off of the highs, sings and sustains just great. While the neck adds a bit more attack then you would get from a flat out LP. Good compromise. The singles from SX really did a good job of brightening up the neck and middle positions. Suits me just fine.

With stock pups I'd rate this thing a 2. It didn't drown you with noise and the Pots weren't scratchy.

With change of pups alone I give it. (price in mind, total investment of 157 bones counting a new pickguard) a 10.

I'l round it down to overall 7

Here's where we really see where they get off offering a guitar like this so cheap.

Setup was way too high on the bass strings too low on the highs. Intonation was unheard of. Pups as stated before, forget about hight adjustment. Trmolo arm tip was broken. Tremolo arm is loose fitting.

Tuners are about the cheapest things I've seen since an old noname Harmony guitar I bought once for 20 bucks as my fist 6 string. That said they do hold it in tune when you get it there, if only beacuse it's hard enough to twist the tuners with your fingers let alone bending them out of tune.

There was a bad spot on the fingerboard where the wood is just unfinished and sort of taken off with a hand planer. Fret markers are just "stamped on" (Ink??? Paint??? Burnt???) Yellow wood glue was to be seen everywhere. Like they just glued the fretboard on and didn't bother to wipe off any excess glue that ran out. I filed off a bit here and there.

Frets were actually very well done. someone must have taught some nondescript native from Takki Tukki land to fret a guitar. I had the old nail file ready to go to town and found that I only had to hit 2 fret ends. And had no problem at all with the action ar fretting out. I was able to get this thing under 1/16th without any filing.

everything as far as normal setup was correctable.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This things would stand up to world war three as far as everything goes with reliability. I don't know about hte pots or switch though as time can tell that. but as far as wood and so goes; this thing can take it all.

HAHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHHAHAAA!!!!

I dont even know who really made it.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
Overall I would only recommend this to someone who knows what they are doing. Or if someone had a gutar tech friend that told them to get a cheapo to convert for him as a starter or so. I one of those cases then I would recommend it highly.

Weight is a factor though not for me. Others would call this an arm breaker.

Overall as it is after getting rid of excess glue and such. The guitar never gets less than oohs and aahs as far as looks go. and sound with the PUP switchout in mind is fab.

I'll have to say no opinion in that it is such a world apart my two opinions before and after on this guit. It's my favorite guitar and the absolute first that I go to for anything other than twang.

I love it in a way that people love british sports cars. Imperfections accepted and ignored.

Well its made in Czech republic. Body and neck is made of mahagoni natural finish and has a rosewood freetboard. PUs are passive SSS and all others like all normal Strats. The parts are no brand but usefull. Not crapy china parts. If I would not consider the price I d give a 7 or 8 but that quality at that price deserves a 10. OK I m paying more now due to this guitar is it worth to me to be equipped with Sperzel locking tuners, Wilkinson /GOTOH VSVG and all others premium parts. On the other hand I think that we all have our preferences in parts and specialy for PUs so aint that bad at last!

Sound : 10
Well the PUs are kind of solid default PUs nothing special.

It has a rich full sound with tons of sustain.
due to I need to play at low amplifications this is very improtant to me cause I dont have feedback I d have with when playing loud.

Sustain is very important for my Pink Floyd style either.

When I play without amp the sound is close to my 20year old Takamine western guitar. This to give a idea how impressive the sound of the Guitar it self is! Imagine what it is with good brand PUs.

Dislikes... 21 frets... I d prefer 24... But that is kind of OK

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
Setup of the saddles for the octaves is perfect. but the tremolo was set to non floating. and the saddles are a bit 2 low. The gaps in the Nut are 2 low. Normaly it would be half string inside and rest outside. Here the full string is immerged but I ve no detune problems when bending. Of course it is a plasic nut :(
Worst of all is that the frets are not smooth on the neck sides. Nothing that would hurt but far from perfect.

Well sorry! Cant give 10 here even if it s my favourite guitar!

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar seems build like a rock and it pleases to play it.

Customer Support : 10
Well I got contact with the sales and all problems was fixed easily and quickly.

Overall Rating : 10
Well I play for about 25years and to list my equipment would last 2 long. If it was stolen I d force them to make a new one due to it was discontinued or I ll take a similar one. It s worth every penny! I wont post the price I paid even I remember it well but that kind of guitar, new, for that price is ROBBERY!

The guitar has basically the shape of an Ibanez RG. the body and the neck are made of solid mahogany.

Bridge: vintage tremolo

Tuners: no-name product

Fretboard: Rosewood

Production Date: I think this year

Controls: 1xtone, 1x volume

Pickups: HSS (humbucker is split in middle-position), passive no-name pickups

Sound : 8
Well, at first I must say, that I bought this guitar as a "spare guitar", so it should be cheap, but usebable. Regularly, it's sold for 139?, but I only paid 56?, because I bought it at ebay. Of course, you can't expect too much for this small amount of money, but this guitar is definitely made of great wooden substance. It has a 5-way switch, HSS, the pickups are not overwhelming, but acceptable.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The guitar has an oil and wax finish, so I could see the pure wood and the quality was really good: hard, nice looking mahogany. The frets were smooth, but the strings a bit old, but that doesn't matter.

Reliability/Durability : 9
The hardware was also ok: standard vintage tremolo, the pickup switch was working correctly, i have nothing to complain about.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I never used support for a guitar.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing guitar for about 13 years, i tried also a lot of expensive guitars, which were sometimes very disappointing and not worth the money. Often, you pay for the name and not for quality.

Normally, I play a "Guitar Workshop" Stratocaster, which is a Norwegian model with Swamp-Ash body, Seymour Duncan pickups, locking tuners, ebony fretboard and an original Floy Rose. Basically, this guitar can be compared with a Fender American Delux Stratocaster, but I could get it relatively cheap.

Now, let's talk about this Bach guitar. This guitar can't of course be compared with any 700? guitar, but it's definitely better than most guitars, that are available between 90-150?. Its good substance, if you want more, buy some better pickups and you have a great guitar that can be compared with ones that cost twice as much. Those who get one of those guitars at ebay for less than 100? will definitely not regret it.
