After going thru all kinds of LP's both historic and custom shop my quest for a paul ended here. no tuning issues except it's also got buzz feiten tuning which is actually plus....i must admit i usu. don't tune it as such but the main deal is that it STAYS in tune unlike most of the pauls i've had. it's a fat throaty tone probably due to the mahogany body wood which is dense and fairly heavy. probably a 9 lb axe.

every thing is perfect for me ..admittedly i had it gone thru by my local luthier who is somewhat of a perfectionist. i am in process of having Gene the man take a look at it and see what he thinks. Seems like the historic pauls i had never stayed in tune...i think the tone pro's bridge helps with the tone and tuning...it locks onto the studs.

i don't see why this wouldn't last longer than me....but it's a fairly new guitar...time will tell.

after looking and buying many a paul this is gonna be the last one...
well until i get a windfall profit or make my first million...(read not) looking forward to trying it with my ruby two rock...sounds heavy thru my roccaforte. i've had a few bakers and they were all keepers but unfortunately i had to sell my BJ to get this...that was another awsome guitar...i should a kep that un! the handmade les paul clone market is dominated by Gustavson but try to find one esp. less than 5K. i'd love to try one someday..but you'll still have to keep your baker to fill the throaty tone need in your arsenal.
IMHO! Giffin is another of my dream guitars...this really is a dream axe.
