T bar style hollowbody, carved maple top, carved mahogany back. Faded cherry burst with headstock overlay. Rosewood fretboard. Gold pearl side block inlays
Two Dimarzio zebra HBs, Virtual Vintage in the neck, AirZone in the bridge. I asked Gene an Gil to put in 3way switch coil splits for series/single/parallel modes. Also three way switch, V/V/T
Bigsby! I also had the studs for a stop tail installed (just in case), but so far the bigsbys been great.
Locking sperzel tuners, delrin nut. Gene even carved delrin saddles for the nashville bridge, since the wanted to still use the tone pros bridge.
I got the full swiss army knife of features since this was (and is) my ultimate axe.
Sound

This guitar sounds good. Real good. In fact it sonds so good, I have to force myself to play my other guitar, else I won't. I run this throgh a homebrew princeton Reverb/ Tweed Deluxe homebrew, that's kinda like a Carr Rambler with a MV.
Usually, I don't need to use any pedals. This guitar never fails to get rave comments from the audience.
Action, Fit, & Finish

This is where Baker's truly shine. This guitar's action, setup and feel were perfect from the factory. I was a little worried about the bigsby, but I think this guitar is as close to perfection as humanely possible. There's an elegance to Gene designs that defies description.
Reliability/Durability

Case is a little funky with respect to bigsby, not really designed to go in the Gibsons style case. But oh well. Mayeb I can dig up one of the square orange cases.

I dealt mostly with Rick over at Guitar Hangar. Top Notch. I just wish he'd sell me the Baker 12 string he's got for less money.

This guitar was a custom order that just about drove me crazy waiting for. Maybe the top could be a little quiltier, but that's about it. Now that I have tasted Baker, I wish only for more.
We look forward to Gene's wisdom and experience bringing forth good stuff from EB. Hurry up and make some 12 strings already so I can buy them.
