1997 Les Paul Standard copy. Korean made, 22 frets dot inails. Solid Ash body (one piece) maple neck topped with rosewood. Superbe maple lamination transparent finished even in the back of the neck. Typical 2 volumes and 2 tones knobs, 3 ways pick up selectors. Two high output P.A.F-like pick ups (expecially the one at the neck). Passive electronics. The bridge is a Tune-O-Matic silver-crome laminated. Die cast tuners not bad at all! Anyway everybody knows Les Paul right?

A year ago 1998 I purchased a Les Paul by Epiphone and I had to return it because of the microphonic sound and the body was made out of 14 pieces!!! Well this guitar cost half of an Epiphone and sounds much better and is made out of one piece of wood only! When played clean has a typical Les Paul warm sound when distorted maintain a solid heavy sound! When I use it with my guitar-processor it gives me too much feedback, but other than that I am satisfied. So far so good!

Perhaps the Tune-O-Matic bridge is slightly high because of the setting of the neck, but the strings do not touch the neck (I set them very low) so I do not have to face any fuzzy sound. The guitar is superfinished in all the details, again Epiphones are good guitars, but this one is p.e.r.f.e.c.t. If I cover the name Bently: Gibson are another thing but do I have an extra $2000? Nop!

I do not see why this guitar should not last! The hardware so far looks good, maybe with the time I'd replace the tuners with Gotoh and the pick up with Seymour Duncan, but so far this guitar stands to my expectations. The strap buttons were good, but I always replace them with Shaller just in case, I hate dropping my guitars on the floor! I have four guitars so I always use back up!

I called the manufacture company and I talked to a very friendly customer support who told me all the features of this guitar. If you want to contact them call 314/727-4512- By the way Bently guitars are not called Bently any longer now they are AUSTIN guitars!

If we consider the price, the Korean manufacture and the fact that is only an imitation, this guitar is worth every little penny. Honestly!
