The bo~el gg-200 really suits my playing style very well.
I play mostly rocksongs and blues, sometimes metal too and the gg-200 really does a real good job for those styles, very versatile !
As written in other reviews earlier, you can go from a thin fender likes sound to a full rich fat tone.
I have seen the designer which the guitar is named after play many times and i was always impressed by his guitarsound.
So it's no surprise this guitar forfilles my expectations.
The 3-way switch is situated at a spot where you can't hit it accidently while strumming the strings but still with great accesabbilty.
The volume and tonepot are also located at a easy to reach spot.

When i bought this guitar the action was a little too high for me personally, that was easily fixed.
I left the pick-ups the way they were, they can be staggered if you want to.
The guitar looks like a candy just like my other guitar which is a prs ce 24.
It has a really nice finish and is build very solid with a great neck through design.
No complains what so ever !

This guitar is road ready anytime 24-7, it will do just fine, i expect no problems.
I would use it on a gig without a backup, exept for strings ofcourse.
The straplocks are really tight so swing it around your back if you like.

I think the warrenty is five years, this tells something about the reliability of this guitar.
I visit the customshop often for al kinds of stuff and they are always very helpfull.

I play for about ten years and my other gear is:
prs ce 24, marshall dsl 100 w top with 4x12 speakers (vintage)
my effectpedals are a joe satriani wah 535Q, mxr micro amp, korg dt10 tuner, whammy, mxr chorus, t-rex replica delay, boss dd6 delay and a maxon rod 881 all hooked up with spectraflex cables.
If any of my gear was stolen, i have to give my friends from the asssurance companie a call and i would buy each and every piece right back!

The guitar is made to the specs of a dutch guitarist and producer called Gordon Groothedde and guitar builder Huub Boel. It's a solidbody with a single cutaway, two custom design humbuckers both split coil. The threeway switch combines nicely with the split coil switch. It gives you all the sound from fender like single coil to fat humbucking sounds. One volume and one tone control complete the electronic cirquits. On request one can have a piezo as well. It has locking tuners and 22 frets on a hardrock maple neck. Body is alder with a very nice quilted maple top. Body is string thru and has a rollerbridge.

As mentioned before, with the variety of switch positions, one can go from the fat humbucking to very thin single coil sounds. The output of the pasive elements is enormous. I play the guitar on a Koch twintone amp and on a Mesa Subway rocket. Amazing sounds !!

The guitar comes from the Bo-el customshop, and that you can see in the product. Designed by dutch guitar builder Huub Boel, it has a set neck. All is very well finished, with nice colours and bindings. The guitar is tuned and adjusted to the buyers specification after it comes from the customshop, and therefore in best shape one can think of. Action is medium, but can be set very low if desired.

The material used pays of when playing live with it. From smokey bars to large festivals with rain and or cold does not have much effect on the tuning. The hardware and neck hold very well. Rough playing and real tough use don't hurt the guitar at all.

I bought the guitar in the shop of Huub Boel, and the service is great. Apart from the first tuning and setting up to my requests, I can go back whenever I want to have something done, (not that it is necessary). I only once had the neck bridge change to a graphite one. The guitar comes with gigbag and cord. Warranty is one year and the value of the guitar is quaranteed for 5 years.

It's a very good guitar with lots of possibilities. Can be used for many music styles. I play it now for 2 years, and have sold my Fenders (Strat and Tele USA versions) because this Bo-el has much more to offer. I compaired this guitar with many standard stuff, like gibsons, Epiphone, Fender and could only find part of the sounds for about double the price. If it was stolen, I simply would have to buy a new one.
