Made in 2005, This is a dutch design guitar, made in Korea.
22 frets ,rosewood fretboard,Body is mahogany with a thick maple top
5 way selector , coil splitter , no tone control.
neck pickup is a p90, bridge humbucker both designed by Huub Boel ( hence the name Bo-el).Body style is an semiacoustic, two horn body, with an cateye hole on one side .The guitar is rather small, scale length is Gibson.Bridge is a tromolo bridge with rollers (wilkinson),tuners grover autolock. It looks familiar , although I don't know any other guitar wich looks the same, but very tasty. It comes with a pick , good cable and a very sturdy gigbag

It is good for various styles, rock, blues , funk , jazz, maybe not fotr country picking.I use it on an Hotrod deluxe, wich is a good combination
very bright sound , humbucker not muddy , coilsplitted a bit to sharp, the P90 is the reason I bought this guitar.

It is made in Korea, refitted in the Netherlands by Huub Boel, everything is very good , even if you don't like some aspects , he fixes it.Super!!
The only thing i did myself was filing the nut , wich was a bit sharp to my liking , but when I asked in the shop , they told my that normally they take care of that , but I wanted to take the guitar rightaway. So my fault.Fretwork perfect, action , intonation very good. But if you want it different; the fix it rightaway.

This guitars are made in 2005 in Korea but is designed in The Netherlands by Huub Boel. The guitar has 22 frets like a strat, has a nice solid 2,5 cm thick cateye maple-top, semi hollow body, 5 way selector, humbuckers and one model has also a P-90 pickup. The neck is made of maple with an ebben keyboard. Real nice finisched in transparent finish. It has a Wilkinson like a bridge, very expensive tuners, I thought they were schaller?s. Has a medium thin neck with thin frets.

This guitar suits me very well, many pick up configurations make this guitar very usable in all kinds of music. The sound is the best to compare with an expensive Ibanez, but a little bit more like a fender stratocaster sounding. I own a guitar that is build by Huub Boel and it has allmost the same features only the pickups are dimarzio PAF pro and Evolution. that makes the diff. I like the S-03, but I liked my old guitar a little bit more.

The standard action is a bit high, but if I would buy this guitar, Bo-el would set the action lower i suppose. I am suprised about the super high quallity of the wood Bo-El used in their models!! All Bo-el guitars are very very well made. no faults in finisch there!! not just another korean guitar, those are custom made guitars for a standard price, and that?s what it makes interesting!!

These guitars are used by profs in the whole country, you hear very good things about their reliabillity. The guitars all have the best hardware, the s-03 has the best hardware you can get on a guitar. I never gig without a backup. I think every mucisian uses a backup guitar on his/her gigs.

I didn?t buy this guitar ?cause I don?t need it yet and I allready have a handbuild guitar of Huub Boel. One day I will need a newer guitar and then I`ll buy one. It is a very good guitar and suits all styles. I just would prefer Dimarzio pick ups on the Bo-el S-03!
