I got a nice flame showing through the the red finish, with cream binding. Very pretty instrument. I like the silver hardware in general, and the bridge and tuners keep it in tune very well. The quality control is very high, apparently- I've played several of the Korean made models, and they were all great.

I got this secifically for the 13-pin MIDI setup, and I am very pleased with it. Previously, I was using a Mexican strat with a Yamaha G10 pickup (basically a copy of the Roland system). That worked pretty well, but this system is a step above. Better tracking, great sound.

Also, the gig bag it came with is one of the nicest I have ever seen- sturdy, well padded, and with plenty of accessory room. Awesome!

OK- what I don't like...

1) A lot of knobs/ switches. Not the guitar's fault, it has 2 pickups connected to a 5 way switch, volume and tone, a piezo volume and a MIDI volume, and 2 exta midi pickups. My only suggestion is maybe stacking some of the controls- like the Piezo and magnetic pickup volume, and the tone and MIDI volume.

2) Headstock configuration is goofy- the shape is OK, but the 2+4 design always makes me want to grab the wrong peg to tune with.

Overall, a great guitar.

Sound : 10
Styles- let's see: Jazz, contemporary worship (rock & pop, basically), oldies...

No one guitar can do everything, but this one can do a lot. Covers the humbucker sounds quite well, but due to pickups and scale length, doesn't do the strat or tele thing.

A little bright overall, but nothing a little EQ can't fix (much bettter then not bright enough). Nice and quiet, great clean and distorted. I use it in a variety of effects configurations, and sometimes jsut straight- it's never disappointing.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The action was low and light for my tasts, so I replaced the strings with 11's and was quite happy.

Cosmetically very nice, a little smear and bleeding of the finish on the binding near the neck. Fret ends could be smoother.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Seems very solid, although it is very light. I don't anticipate any problems with it.
The strap buttons were fine, but I put on locking ones just for piece of mind.
Very dependable, and I don;t feel the need for a backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for almost 20 years. If it were lost or stolen, I would replace it, although I would consider the strat-like version. I am pondering a custom shop model as I am very pleased with this guitar.
A great value, especially if you are intot he MIDI thing.

Guitar has single tone control for magnetic pickups, does not effect peizo tone. Has separate volume for synth pickup. Up/Down switch for synth program control. Has rosewood fingerboard. Good finish. Two Seymour Duncan Magnetic pickups, one RMC combined piezo/synth bridge pickup.

Sound : 10
Great guitar sound when you mix the piezo acoustic and magnetic pickups together. Wish they had put a tone control for the piezo.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Action is good. Finish is good. Had to set up pickups for pole piece height and overall height from strings for uniformity. Had to adjust bridge to true it. The strings were set low and buzzed. Neck was straight. Chinese OEM tuners would not stay tuned, replaced with locking Schallers from Brian Moore Custom shop, it's what this guitar needed.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Looks reliable. Time will tell. Replaced strap buttons with locking type. I always have a backup guitar for gigs.

Brian Moore guitars got back with me in one day. Too bad they can't afford a full time customer service person.

Overall Rating : 10
Very versatile guitar. Yes I would buy another one. Very good value. Never thought I would say that about a Chinese manufactured guitar, but this is a good one. You can't compare it to many other guitars because of the features. It absolutely blows away a Godin LGXT for the money.

This guitar has it all, mine is natural with red trans back, 22 frets, set neck les paul shape, two humbuckers (very nice) pezio pickup, 13 pin synth input, onboard swithing for your synth, and looks that kill.

Sound : 10

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10

Since many of this guitars features are unique, I would rather focus on those facets of the instrument. But for the sake of completeness it has: Two off-brand humbuckers, one Pizo bridge pickup, one 13pin Synth pickup, twenty-two frets, off-brand tuners (and t-omatic bridge)and is Les Paul shaped.

Now the interesting parts:
The 1/4 jack enters via the back of the guitar and flexes.
The strap knob is mounted on the back (very comfortable)
All pickups can be used at once.
The body is carved in a unique and comfortable way

Sound : 9
The Midi pickup (tested via GR-33) tracks very well
The pizo sounds too good to be true
The humbuckers sound like a hot Les Paul (Fat and Solid as a Les)so if your looking for a strat sound some mods will be required.

It is quiet and can sound Jazzy or over the top rocky, it may not be the replacement you want for a Tele to do chickin pickin( Oh wait I forgot about the pizo which could work in a pinch, my bad)

PS: This guitar rings like a bell!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Action: Not bad but I still want a setup done for my likes.
Finish: Very Nice especially for a guitar less then a grand (or just very nice).
WoodWorking: Can't find a flaw.

Reliability/Durability : 8
Reliability: It seems very solid and comfortable
Durability: I would take this guitar to play without a backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have not talked to the company but I registered the quitar on Sunday and as of Monday I have not received an email as they said. Is that bad service, I don't think so.

I have been playing for too long and I use Marshall and Mesa Amps. A Guild Liberator Elite super strat, an Ovation deep back Acoustic, a D electro 12 string and a PRS Santana SE.

If I needed to replace my midi setup, I would look at another BMoore as it has a different approach to guitars that I like.

I wish they put locking tuners on the guitar and I wish the 13pin pickup was also through the back of the guitar. I also wish the action was like how my PRS cheepie came (lower action ) and I wish that the pickups could be aplit and be placed out of phase.

Brand new from their first delivery, made in Korea, pretty much the same as the i2.13 (13pin midi, piezo, humbuckers), except does not have the locking tuners, does not have tapping, has silver hardware, 22 fret, rosewood fretboard. Perfectly bookmatched Charcoal Grey maple top...absolutely beautiful...almost has an aged but never used look. Mine came with a hardshell case (ordered it) but I believe they come standard with a Gig-Bag. Also came with the y-cable.

Sound : 10
When I ordered this guitar (as soon as I saw it on the new web site) I had every intention of changing the pickups as soon as I got it. After hearing this guitar, "that ain't gonna happen." I play through a Marshall AVT 50 and an Ampeg Reverbojet... Nice full sound. I have also have it through a GR-33 and play that and the piezo through a Mackie 406M. No buzzing...sound absolutely great. Very playable

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
This guitar is of much better quality than I expected...BEAUTIFUL!

Reliability/Durability : 10
I think it will have no problem with live playing. The hardward is very solid, finish is better than the finish on my American Telecaster, and as great as this guitar is I would not do anything without a backup (thinking about getting another one).

Customer Support : 10
I haven't had to deal with BMG regarding problems. While waiting for it to come in I have spoken with Robin and Cary by telephone (friendly people), and have gotten emails from them and Mr Cummings himself. While speaking with them the attitude was like that of the old-style American company...they talk to you like a human being, not like they have better things to do...

Overall Rating : 10

If this guitar were stolen I would definitely buy another. What do I love about it? What's not to love about it.
