Well you all know the features stated above but hell ill say it agian. Very thin lighting fast neck. SD pickups coil tapping. Floyd rose brigde. Thats the basic.

Sound : 9
I play metal and jazz and what ever I feel at the moment and I think it fits in very nicely with any thing. But since im a metal head the pick ups do sound a bit thin. I would rather pop in some EMGs but thats all personal taste.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Well I have wanted an Ibanez S for so long but didint like the little swirly inlays. then i found the i9f and a local GC used. I fell in love becasue the action is literaly just a hair above the frets. The body shap is almost identical to the S and I love it. The finish is cool they say its transparent Blue but to me it looks Purple. witch is cool casue i like to stick out.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Every guitar I own I deff would use them with out a back up on a stage but you never know when a string is going to pop. I changed the strap buttons to locking ones just incase.

This guitar was made in mid 90's I would say. It has 24 frets and a rosewood fingerboard. I must say for being an import model this guitar can take some use and abuse. Mine has a floyed that will stay in tune for a year if need be. It just won't go out no matter how hard I dive bomb the tremlo(yes i still do just to keep me young, yikes!). Anyhow great features REAL duncans and coil taps=any sound you want and a neck that just won't quit.

Sound : 10
What can I say here. The JB in the bridge just screams when you want her to and can really crunch. Its just great. And the Alcino II and single are great for clean. I must say the nice thing about this guitar is its evenness of sound accross the spectrum. It's not at all muddy on the lower strings and is crystal clear on the high E on the 20th fret.

dont' know. bought it used

Ok heres the thing. When I bought this guitar it had the finish cracks in the heal joint, this is really common amoung guitars with thin necks and floyd rose tremlos. They have not gotten any bigger or have they affected the sound in the 5 years I have owned this guitar. I did however notice there is a hairline crack that started around 3 years ago by the headstock on the back of the neck where the two allen bolts are. Ha what does this sound like? Yes a typical Jackson problem. Once again it has not grown into and issue and does NOT affect the sound or playability nor has it gotten bigger in 3 years, i marked all these cracks and watch them constantly. Other than that it has survived live playing including comming off my strap and crashing really hard a few times, falling off the stand an numerous accidents assoiciated with a guitar that gets played daily. Has only minor battle wounds. Im very impressed. Electronics as well. Held up well but are starting to show some signs of wear, ie pots getting scratchy and my tone just spins with no stop. YOu just have to hear where your at when adjusting.

Been playing for too many years now. Ive owned many guitars, im kind of a freak that way. Love to buy and trade on a monthly basis. This guitar has stuck around the longest so that is saying something for the Brian Moore import market. Love the fact it is a damn tank. Has the normal wear and tear of a well used guitar. Just getting broke in as far as im concerned. Other than the fact Brian Moore didn't solve the problems most commonly associated with the 80's guitars with floyds (the cracking on heel joint and neck) it is still reliable and looks increadible. Keep in mind I pretty much comparing and rating this guitar to others in its category such as Jackson, Ibanez, Charvel. Anything with a thin neck with thin necks. They are a part of my past and just grew on me. So if your trying to decied between this and a les paul, don't use this review as a determaning factor. Go play both guitars and see for yourself. Looking for a modern shredder that can outplay all the old 80's metal guitars yet kick back and get a good tone to play a little blues to yourself on a saturday night this guitar is certainly for you.

The strong points of this guitar are the Seymour Duncan pickup combination, the beautiful mahogany body and the awesome rosewood fretboard(even though the "fretboard king" is ebony, this is an excellent quality rosewood fretboard that has a really comfortable feeling).
Bad points:the medium quality floyd rose system(an Ibanez S is the winner on this) and the standard non-locking tuners(it'd be better if they used Sperzel locking ones instead).

Sound : 8
The guitar is very transparent, and that makes herself a good choice for anyone who doesn't want to spend a fortune to get a good sound.I would describe her sound as warm and sweet.I personally like electric jazz fusion(Allan Holdsworth,Scott Henderson),and although this guitar isn't the finest in the world,it can suit this style as well(the Duncan JB humbucker is the responsible for that of course). For the blues guys,it's not a Fender, but can do the job(it gets a bit noisy when the Alnico Single is used). For the jazz guys and hollow body lovers, don't wait too much, because her solid body nature doesn't permit it.In general, for its price, this is a great sounding guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
The pickups were adjusted a bit high and the action wasn't perfect, but that's ok.Apart from that, there is also a little mark at the back side of the headstock(wood colour problem).

Reliability/Durability : 9
I can certainly depend on such an instrument. As for the chrome hardware that is going to become a bit "black" in the next few years, who cares?

Customer Support : No Opinion
Don't know.Never contacted the factory.

I really love this guitar. It definitely has its own personality and has always helped my fingers and my ears understand things better.Of course, that doesn't mean that I'm not going to buy a new instrument in the future(it's always necessary to look for something better and more advanced that will help building the character of your playing).I'm going to buy a Carvin Holdsworth Fatboy or a Parker Mojo when I find the money, but till then,I will ... survive by using a Brian Moore i9f.

Review for the Brian Moore i9f model. Import Model, Strat-shaped body (double cutaway) with Floyd Rose Locking trem system, Charcoal Grey Trans Quilt top. Pickup Config is (H-S-H) Seymour Duncan pickups. Pickups are splittable, and you can really get a nice variety of tones. The neck is VERY fast & thin (much like the Ibanez Wizard II neck), and enables you to shred like crazy! Fingerboard is Rosewood, and neck is Maple....I think!.....Tuners are non-locking, but doesn't need to, because of the Locking Nut for the Floyd system. The Brian Moore "i" (import) guitars feature the same great innovative ideas that their USA models have. For instance a contoured body, arched top, really nice quilt top, small heel joint, extremely thin neck, great tone, pickups...etc, about the only thing this model doesn't have is the peizo pickups and the 13-Pin Roland connector, which I'd never use anyway.

Sound : 8
Well, this guitar certainly suits MY playing styles (mostly metal), yet, I record MANY styles of music, not just metal, so, the features on this guitar suit me perfectly....Would suit ANY PLAYER just fine! It is NOT noisy, and it has a BUNCH of tonal capabilities! I run it thru a Laney GH50L tube head, and a Marshall Slant cabinet (4x12), I have tons of effects, but only use one or TWO at a time, at the most! This Guitar Sounds awesome!!!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Overall fit & finish is really impressive for an import guitar! I must say!!! No flaws tht I could see, excellent quilt top, Floyd Rose, every feature you could ask for is on this baby. The ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS VERY SMALL: I only wish that the color wasn't so dark. I have the Charcoal Trans Quilt top, and it's just too dark, and doesn't really show-off the awesome quilt top as much as I'd like....The action (string height) is AWESOME! It's just a HAIR above the fretboard!

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
Well, I just bought it! I got it as a backup to my American Deluxe Strat, and I really can't comment just yet.

Again, I just bought it, and havn't had to deal with them.....Hope I never have to! :)

Been playing for over 25 yrs, have owned MANY MANY guitars! Have always been a bit skeptical about Import models, because of their inferior quality, but, you can feel good knowing that this guitar is VERY well made! Made in Soeul, Korea, and the quality, fit & finish are right up there with some of the better USA models, for a fraction of the price. Now, obviously, this is not the cheapest import you can get, but, remember this: "you GET what you pay for!" and you certainly get alot with this guitar! Worth the money, I'd say! If it were stolen, or lost, yeah, I'd probably get another one....Unfortunately, I didn't buy this because I wanted to buy a guitar, I needed to have a good back-up guitar because my $1500 American Strat has a neck-adjustment problem, and I can't seem to rely on it 100% anymore....Shame, because it's one of the best damned guitars I've EVER owned and/or played. Anyway, I gotta be honest, this Brian Moore guitar is worth the price, and with all the features it has, you certainly can't go wrong. No matter WHAT type of music you're into, it can handle the job with ease

K, this is the i9 with a lisc Floyd Rose, 24 fret, quilt top (beautiful), Seymour Duncan HSH with everything splittable, strat style body and a nice flat neck. The features are great, and make it one of the most versitile guitars on the market below a grand. There really isn't anything they could add without raising the price to somethin huge. Once the FR is locked in, there's no getting her outta tune.

Sound : 10
I play classic rock (AC-DC, Hendrix mostly), newer stuff (Soundgarden, Tool, Red Hot Chili Peppers), and acoustic pieces by everyone, and this guitar can nail em all. Just pull a pot or two, and you have a whole new tone to work with. I play straight up thru a little Marshall and the tone is still huge. There is some noise when turning a tone knob, but I think that's my fault. The tone can become anything you want it to be, with little effort. My only dislike is the decrease in volume when splitting the hums to single coils, but that can be fixed with effects and preplanning.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I did not get the guitar from the factory, So I can't fully judge here. However, there were no flaws at all to be found. NOT ONE. Perfectly set up, but as I said, I don't know who did that. Rock on, ebay.

Reliability/Durability : 9
The guitar's hardware would take a serious beating, but the finish would not. However, that's the story w/ any guitar as nice looking as this one. The chrome hardware doesn't rust like it has with some of my other guitars, a huge plus. The strap and plug placement in the back was the work of a genious. However, gigging without a backup is retarded.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Great Warrenty, but I have never needed to get a hold of BMG.

Overall Rating : 10
I have played for about 2 years, and own the Brian Moore i9F, a cheap acoustic, an Epi Les Paul Gothic, a Fender Champ 12 (old), and a 15 watt marshall. If my precious i9F was stolen, I'd kill the poor sucker who took it, and immediately get another one. The versatility and tone are amazing and are worthy of a guitar 3 times the price.
