The finish is great don't scratch easy body style is perfect its light weight and the weight of the guitar and its hefty ass floyd rose you can pull of some dragon force moves. the pickups are good really jazzy like mid switch when you have it on clean.

Sound : 8
you can get so many sounds outta this guitar as long as you set the floyd rose after changing the strings to a 9 gauge is the best the 10's you get with it blow. theres nothing off the top of my head that i dont like about this guitar i always recomend it to beginners and advanced players.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
the factory set up wasnt the best a lil fiddlin with it it was awsome the action is awsome once you set it sweeps are no problem with this guitar.

Here we go,this Brownsville, IS700-Trans -Red,quilted Maple top, is not just another cheap guitar, from China. Most cheap guitars, aren`t neck-thru,carved top, with mahogony bodies, necks. The Fretboard is,Rosewood,W/22 medium frets. The Neck Radius is,10",,w/Sharkfin fret markers..This IS700- Has brushed pewter hardware;a double locking,Floyd Rose Licensed,Tremo,lo,1vol.,1 tone,-3 pick-ups,in a H-S-H,configuration.Made in,2006,I paid,181.00 Dollars for Her,and,She sits at home ,with a Hamer SAT,A Custom over the top,Squire-Stratocaster W/Kahler pro.,and, three other Deadly,Six strings.what they ALL, have in common,is the fact, that not one of these guitars, are made in the U.S.A. .Not one of these guitars priced out over 500.00,and,Not One Of These Guitars,Brownsville,Especially, will be left at Home,(assuming,I need two back-ups,or,1 for, stop tail,and,1 for Tremolo) When I Play Out.I Am Not,A Beginning Guitarist,Have been playing for about 40 years,so I`ve seen some great guitars in my Time. The Brownsville IS-700-trans red,for a "cheap" Guitar is right up there.

Sound : 10
Sound is versatile,Though I Play Fusion, and, will probably drop EMG,81/SA/85`s in her.Stock, through a Peavey Valve king 50 wattW/2-12`s,I get great dynamic control from all three p/ups,on the clean ch.Drop some gain through the dist. ch,and, she`ll start to sing, still with good dynamic control. We can go straight out to Satchmo,Morse,Johnson, type ,effect pstches,and,well,....Ya Get Watcha Play For,...

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Set-up on a floyd,must be tweaked to each player`s touch,so I was`nt upset by factory set-up.Good factory action though.Pick-ups re-adjusted w/ new set-up.Nice Bookmatching.looked like maybe some body-filler,in a couple of none criticle spots.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Yes to live gigs.good H,ware.Good finish.Replace w/ Sperzel strap locks.Oh,Yeah.Oh,No,I always Have A Back-up.Even The Peavey Is backed up by,ART. Attack Modules.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Price Paid: US $280

Features : 10
At 280$ the features on this guitar are amazing. Floyd Rose licensed locking trem, quilt maple top w/ transparent finish, H-S-H pickups, Sharktooth inlays. The body is basswood (not the best tonally, but lightweight) with a hard maple neck. The FR trem has a pretty deep recess for string yanking. The tuners kinda suck, they are a little loose, but w/ a floyrd rose, that is not as big of a problem.

Sound : 9
The humbuckers are good pickups, powerful and bright in the bridge, Smooth and expressive in the neck position. But now the middle single coil is another story, it is weak, dull, and just plain lame. I use a Randall WH40 combo and the sound is like an old Marshall JCM800 crossed with a Dimebag-ish chainsaw guitar sound. if not for the poor single coils and 10 would be in this category.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The tuners were loose as mentioned before, but everything else was in excellent order, too bad it came stock with dead 10 gauge strings.

Reliability/Durability : 8
The hardware other than tuners are all worthy of a good gigging guitar.the finish is thick enough to last. I would always gig with a backup no matter what, especially due to my extreme whammy bar use.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have never had to deal with customer support for anything guitar. I've Known every repair in the book since I started playing several years ago.

Overall Rating : 10
My favorite part of this guitar is the double locking whammy bar. since I'm not a rich guy or just given whatever I want, I couldnt afford more that 350$ The cool part about this guitar is that not many people have heard about Brownsville and because of the features and sound of this guitar, many people think it is some expensive boutiqe axe.
