This is a new guitar 2003ish made in Korea.
Beautiful Quilted Maple top.
1- Volume, 1- Tone and a 3 way switch.
It has two Humbuckers.
Mahogany body and neck. The workmanship and materials are superb!
Double Cutaway Les Paul style body cut Much thiner.
Tune-0-Matic like a Les Paul... Brushed Nickel hardware.
Narrow neck with large/tall frets. Great for small hands.

Sound : 10
It takes care of my Les Paul sounds. I can leave my vintage LP home when I play in rougher sides of town.

I use a Marshall Super Lead (70s) with a Marshall 4x12 (70s), Fender Twin 65' reissue, Clyde Wah - Fulltone Fulldrive II - Boss Metal Zone - MXR Compressor - Boss RV-3 Reverb/Delay - Morley ABY to amps.

It's not noisy... well... no more than my Les Paul, Clapton Strat, or Telecaster.

Rich and Full and razor grit when I want.

I have no dislikes with this guitar. I like the price.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
It was set up with two strings swapped, so I restringed it with 10s. The intonation need to be set. It was way off... All is good now though.

Pickups were adjusted right where I like them.

The workmanship and quality of wood is VERY Good... even for guitars costing $1000.00.

Reliability/Durability : 10
It will withstand live playing... Any guitar will, if handled properly.

I'd have no problem taking this guitar to a gig, or jam without a backup.

Sam Ash has always been great to deal with... You can trust they will bend over backwards for you. I bought this guitar at the Las Veagas store.... Hi, Guys!

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing guitar since about 1964... and giging and working a "Day Job" since about 1968.

I'd buy this guitar again in a heartbeat. Great Deal and Looks GREAT!

I'll probably install some higher quality pickups some day, but these are pretty good!

Double Cut-away Paul type, Tabacco Brown with one of the cleanest quilt tops I've ever seen. Brushed Nickel Hardware except for the bridge it's self. Looks like they used a whole adult Abalone on this guitar alone. It's COVERED in inlay!
The closest thing to it would be something from Schecter but their line goes for about $200 more.

Sound : 8
The Pickups could be a little brighter for my taste. But then you can just roll off the Bass a touch and they are fine. I'll probably end up putting a DiMarzio in it that'll really work with the tone of the wood.

Unbelievable that this thing was only $300! It plays better right out of the box than my buddy's new Les Paul. The Frets are medium-large. It's actually a pretty fast neck compared to other Les Paul's and like kind guitars I've played.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
I've had it now for a couple of months and the abalone is sunk in a couple of spots. It's hardly noticable. I've been told this is a problem on all guitars with a lot of inlay on the fret board (it's the natural grain of the shell itself) and I've been told it's easy to fill it in with a clear silicon sealant in a syringe. I'll try that if any of them get to be too noticable.

Never had to deal with them. I've done a lot of investigation into the Company and all I can find out is that they come out of the 'custom shop' of the Cort Factory in Korea and are sold through Sam Ash. Whoever makes them, they should be complimented. They play great so I doubt I'll ever need them. Still, it would be nice to have some better info on the maker included with the instrument.

Overall Rating : 10
This is the second Brownsville I've purchaised. The first being the All Blue USA-102 which I also gave a reveiw on.
All I can say is that this company, on these two models at least, have outdone themselves. $300 for a guitar this well made....WOW!
For anyone who thinks that Gibsons & Fenders are way overpriced and that nothing of quality ever comes out of Asia I would STRONGLY urge you to try one of these guitars. The look is quite simply stunning and the price is ridiculously low.
To whomever the guy is over in Korea turning these out...Well Done Pal! You Rock!

Oh, and since they ask me for anything else I'd like to share....
VOTE FOR KERRY!!

This thing feels like it would last- Fairly light in weight. A little top heavy, wider strap fixes that

Can't get any info from them, from what I hear Sam Ash has these guitars built exclusivly for them, no help here. A great guitar with no info surrounding it. That is why I have posted what I know.

Overall Rating : 10
Love it, very sweet looking, I put my LP Classic next to this and the Brownsville looks alot pricer.
