Sound : 10
I can dial in anything from Jazz to hard picking Country or Rock and vintage sounds.
Tone King Meteor II
No noise except a faint hum on the coil tap when the lead p/u goes to single coil
Rich full sound on the P-92 neck pick up. Thick mids and nice highs on the humbucker bridge pickup.
A lot of variety in this guitar. Can produce strat sounds as well as fat P-90 tone or blistering Les Paul lead sounds.
Only one tone knob limits the guitar slightly. I would like to be able to roll off the highs of each pickup separately at times or blend the two differently.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The set up was absolutely perfect!
The pickups were also perfectly balanced and well installed.
The detailed workmanship was wonderful.
No flaws on this guitar.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar is made to play. It is strong and durable. I feel confident taking this axe anywhere.
The hardware is first rate.
The finish appears very durable.
Strap buttons are solid and a little oversized so the guitar won't fall off as easily.
Dependable construction.
I would use it without backup.

Customer Support : 10
Kevin Brubaker was very helpful. He changed the pickups after I found the first set a bit underpowered. He also worked with me on the exact neck dimensions.

No repairs needed yet. I needed a slight modification done on the neck and he was very accommodating about doing it for me.

Not sure about warranty on this guitar, but I know he stands by his work and would repair anything that went wrong.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for over 25 years. I have owned so many guitars and this one is by far the best I have ever played in the category of electric guitars.
I may have wanted two tone controls on the guitar if I had though about it earlier. But I also like how simple it is with one. It's a toss up.
If this guitar were stolen, I would want to get another just like it.
I love the intonation, playability, design, pickups, and workmanship. I don't hate anything about it. My favorite feature is the neck and wood on the fingerboard, a blond ebony.
I hired a bassist for a gig who had a Brubaker bass and I was blown away. I immediately e-mailed Kevin to ask if he made guitars.
The guitar has everything I need for any gig.
The entire process was amazing. Kevin is great to work with. He even made a slightly oversized body for me, and added the tune-o-matic bridge which is not the usual design.
