These comments relate to an early custom B-2 I spec'd and which was made by a brilliant guitar maker by the name of Kevin Brubaker out of Westminster Maryland. You've probably heard of his basses (Honorable Mention Harmony Central). Think of these as pre-production PRS's...get the picture? All hand crafted, by Brubaker. I ordered my B-2 with a special neck carve, three single coil Lindy Fralins, trem, 5-way switch, bookmatched quilted maple top (matching headstock)on a solid mahogany body, scraped natural binding MOP inlay markers on an ebony fingerboard on a mahogany neck finished with the smoothest satin finish I have EVER had the pleasure to lay my hands on. Luckily I got in early, before he started getting the bigger orders. I am a huge PRS fan and own several extremely expensive vintage models and I have to tell you, they have nothing on the B-2. It is the fastest playing neck and best sounding combination of hardware, tonewoods and superb crafstmanship I have yet to see in an electric guitar, period. This guitar is such and easy player that when I pick it up to play for a bit I find that 2 hours have passed before I know it. Sustain, outstanding high, middle and low range, perfectly balanced. The B-2 lends itself to many styles of music being so versatile. It is truly a beautiful thing. The shear quality of the work and details that went into my B-2 still amaze me. If this were a Gibson it would have a retail price of around 12K. Actually, I doubt that Gibson would even be able to produce a guitar of this quality. If it were PRS it would be Private stock range, Masterbuilt from Fender. I can easily say that I have owned all of these guitars and yet only a very special few remain with me. The B-2 is one of these. I was so impressed that I told a friend. He bought 5 the next day and I believe has purchased around 7 more since then. Do you think he's thinking the same thing I am? Yep, get in early and get in fast. If you try one you'll buy one, and never regret it. Have you seen a used Brubaker for sale on Ebay or anywhere else? I haven't and my Ebay ID is Guitarguy, I see them all! This is beginning to sound like a paid commercial for Brubaker. It's not, it is pure admiration. BTW- the custom french fit case that accompanies your B-2 is better than any other I have seen, including Private Stock.

If I could only own one electric guitar I'd be hard pressed to pass up the B-2.

How about being able to talk/email with the owner and the guy who built your guitar? It doesn't get any better than that.

Playing on and off for 33 years. If it were lost or stolen I'd buy another in a heartbeat and wouldn't change a thing, except maybe adding a coil tap.
