2001 model, made in Westminster, MD., USA. This was the first Brubaker K4 Nashville custom made. The Nashville standard has a goldtop and P-90s, with hardtail. This one has killer maple top, humbuckers, and trem. Outstanding indigo AAAAA sausage quilt top with cat's eye f-hole. Seymour Duncan distortion humbucker in the neck and SD custom custom custom in the bridge. Highly figured 24 fret cocobola rosewood fretboard. Mahogany body and maple neck. Matching headstock. Hand carved, hand made, unrivaled quality. The nicest stuff I've ever seen. Locking Schaller tuners. Smooth like liquid satin neck finish, which I like because I have the sweaty hands disease and this finish eliminates that worry. Point tech tremolo that stays in tune. One Volume, one tone control with 3 way switch. Pull/push coil tap on tone knob. Records and gigs well.

I use a Zinky Mofo encore combo on the mofo gain channel usually, because I play skanky least common denominator rock. The K4 sounds gorgeous. It is articulate and full. It responds to my attack. This guitar plays better than I do, which is good, because it inspires me to play more. I pick it up and always play for longer than I had planned. And it plays effortlessly. No noise whatsoever. There is nothing I do not like about this instrument.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Perfectly perfect, out of the case. Set up just right. Absolutely flawless bookmatch and finish. Great fretwork. Great balance to the guitar. Obviously a superiorly built instrument. The build quality is evident from the fretwork to the perfect finish.
Reliability/Durability

This guitar is built for keeps. Period. It's like army issue art. Plus Kevin stands behind his stuff. I would gig it without a backup.

The owner answers the phone, if he isn't busy. And he'll actually call you back if he can't answer your call. How much better can it get? Plus, if you're local, like me, you can mosey on over and waste his time blabbing about your dream guitar.

I have another Brubaker that I love just as much. I have had no problems with Kevin's guitars at all. I would order another one immediately if it were stolen. In fact, I'm going to order another one as soon as I can afford it anyway.
