Features : 10
90's era burny made in japan
22 frets
solid and i mean sold mahogany.
2 humbuckers known as the famous vh-1 vh-2 humbuckers
Built just like a gibson sg 61 reissue but better.
passive guitar
solid black 3 ply pick gaurd you find on the 61 sg, not the big stlye pickgaurd you find on the standard sg.
Set neck
Solid black
Has the same crown inlay like gibson in pearl and the burny logo in pearl as well.
Keystone tuner.
Fat and wider stlye neck. my favorite.

Sound : 10
i play mostly rock fused with sloppy style blues.
My rig is a 50 watt all tube laney amp LH-50R, and a crate turbo valve as well.
I can get get amazing tones with this guitar and set up, all the way to black sabbath to AC/DC to zeppelin.
Very warm and dark sounding but amazing clarity.
Likes. this is a well built japanese guitar. Dislikes, these are hard to get in the U.S. and very abundant over sea's.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Action is crazy low with no buzzing, seriously. i have a brand new sg standard that was made in 05 and The burny is far superior.
The finish is a solid lacquer type. more harder and durable than gibson's nitro finishes which are very delicate and easy to imprint marks on there finishes.
The headstock is a open book headstock and the same as the bigger gibson sg 61 headstocks, not like the gibson standards that have the smaller peg heads. no flaws on this baby either.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I would have to say, japanese made burny sg style guitar are better built, better feeling and sound better in my opinion. I can write this becuase i have played and own a few gibson sg's. I have a gibson sg-1, A gibson 1997 61 reissue sg wit the larger peghead, and a gibson sg standard and a gibson gothic sg. The only thing that comes close to the feel is the gibson 61 reissue and the sg-1 as far as the feel goes.
This model is all black and very, very, solid. The neck joint is set deep into the body where the rythm pick up is, almost past it. Very deeply set. The neck feels so dam good, Very close to a fat 59 neck. i wish gibson made fatter necks for the sg's but they dont.
Hands down, the burny is superior, cost way less than the over priced american made 1000.00-1700.00 dollar price tag that it cost's for gibson standard and a 61 reissue sg. dont waste your money on a name.Becuase that is what you are paying for. gibson's quality control is really lacking on there guitars especially the the sg standards, i have seen so many flaws on those guitars it makes you sick to see them charge 1200.00 for a standard.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to deal with the comapny. Burny is a sister company of fernandes guitars, another great guitar maker.

Overall Rating : 10
Great guitar, Peroid. dont be suckerd by brand names, Japanese made guitar such as Burny, Greco, Orville, tokai. Thats the way to go.
