This is a 2000 Fouke industrial Paul made in Benton Illinois. It has a 22 fret neck, and like the other industrials, it has the same aluminum and phenolic construction. It has two "Frankencoil" single coil pickups which are also made by Fouke. Each Frankencoil has it's own volume and tone control, and it also has a three way switch mounted next to the neck in the same configuration as traditional Les Paul guitars. The neck is maple with a rosewood fretboard and features sealed machine heads. It has a standard stop bar tail piece and adjustable bridge. The guitar is finished in a machined 3D finish. The guitar also came with a gig bag.

The sound is excellent. One thing I really like...The guitar has no audible hum from the single coils at all (compared to an American Strat). The bridge Frankencoil is very chunky with alot of bite, it sounds excellent distorted! I am using this guitar for heavier alternative music, and it is incredible. The neck Frankencoil is a little more mellow, it sounds great with a "blues" light distortion on it (kind of reminds me of my Gretsch's sound). The pickups both sound excellent clean! The fact that the guitar is a hollow body only adds to that big sound! Just for reference, I am using a Marshall JCM900 and a Randall Commander II with a Mesa Boogie Preamp.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The guitar came set up very well! the action was low with no fret buzz, and the balance between the pickups was perfect. The 3D finish is great, there is only one small flaw I can find, right below the tailpiece, where two of the swirl marks are doubled, but it is not easily visible, I am just being thorough in my evaluation. Still a 10!

Reliability/Durability : 10
It's metal! Of course it will last and last and last! It's easy to shine it up with Windex! The strap buttons are solid as a rock!
The hardware is all great!

Chris Fouke is a great guy! He knows what he is doing, and takes pride in his work! Since this was the first guitar he had sold with his Frankencoil pickups, he was (and is) extremely dedicated to making sure that I am happy with this guitar. I know that if I had any problems, he would do whatever was in his power to fix! Chris also sent pictures of the guitar in progress and sent daily e-mails to keep me up to date, that was very cool!

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing about 18 years now, and I have owned a lot of different guitars. The Industrial guitars are just different! They are as much fun to look at as they are to play. I also own an Industrial Stealth, and it's just as cool as my Paul. If anything ever happened to these guitars, I would instantly get Chris started on the process of building me two just like the ones I have now!

This guitar is a new concept unlike any I have ever played. I'm sure it's a 2000 made in Benton, Il. It has 22 frets on a maple neck with rosewood finger board. The body is made of two aluminum alloy plates separated around the perimeter by a plastic material leaving the body hollow. There is no finish, just the shine of the aluminum plate. It has two wax potted humbuckers and a three way switch. The body style is like that of a Les Paul. It has a stop tailpiece/bridge combination. Tuners are a sealed generic type.

I play mostly blues but this guitar would do rock and metal very easily. I am currently using a Crate GFX 212 with built in digital effects, chorus, reverb, flange, delay and overdrive. There are no noise problems at all! This guitar has an unsual sound because of the aluminum body plates. I have quite a collection of guitars most of which are neck thru's or set necks. This guitar has more sustain than any of them!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
This guitar came set up and ready to go. Action was low an intonation was right on and there were no fret buzzes.

Reliability/Durability : 10
No problem with the reliability/durabulity here! No finish to wear off or worry about. The body won't crack. The electronics are simple and I can't imagine breaking a bridge or machine head. The neck to body joint is solid. The only maintenance I can imagine would be bolting on a new neck in about 20 years. I wouldn't do a gig without a backup but in this case you would not need one!

I bought this guitar from Chris Fouke the designer and builder in April. Since then, I have heard from him at least twice a week asking how I like the guitar, did it here ok? I'm sure if I ever found a problem Chris would be very willing to make it right and you can't get any better than that.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing off and on for 20 years. I currently own 30 guitars. If there was a question I failed to ask it would have been my falt. Chris is more than willing to spend the time to answer any questions. If this guitar were stolen I would simply contact Chris and have him build me another one just like it. The thing that impresses me most is the is the tone and sustain. It is like no other guitar that I know of currently on the market.
