Mine is a 1974 12-String made in 1974 from a classified newspaper ad.
It is exactly like my 1963 Martin D-12-20 in shape. It is solid wood mahogany back and sides with a 2 piece solid spruce top with ebony fingerboard and bridge.
The tiners are sealed with no name, but are the kind I've seen on other Conn instruments.
The neck is not as thin as today's Taylors. But it is quite comfortable and I have short fingers.
The finish is gloss and quite well done.
The inlay around the sound hole is tastefully restrained. The logo on the headstock in inconspicuous.
Sound

This guitar has a loud beautifully balanced sound that is much more powerful that the above mentioned vintage Martin and equal to a Taylor 12 string purched 15 years ago.
It is the best sounding 12 string I ever touched and I've been playing them since 1960.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Action is perfect. There are adjustment screws on the saddle if you want to play with the action. I am a finger picker and it is just perfect.
The finish is beautiful the wood is perfectly matched.
The only negative is the metal Conn label centered in the sound hole. It is the only thing about the instrument that doesn't scream high grade.
Reliability/Durability

I just got it. But, since it is over 30 years old it seems safe to say that is quite well built. There are no crack, hairlines, etc. The bridge is flat and the neck is perfectly straight - Checked it with a laser!

No Opinion
There is none. They don't make them anymore and haven't for quite a while.
Overall Rating

Since the Martin and Taylor are considered top notch and this Conn is equal to them, I have to give it a 10! Actually, it is a 15.
