This guitar was probably made in the late 70's through 80's in some sort of asian country possibly Japan, i have also heard that the Canora brand was made underneath the Ibanez company (this could be false though). It has 22 frets that seem to be jumbo/large, moreso than my strat. The body appears to be made of one paice of mahogany (or asian equivalent). Les Paul style control layout, with two pairs of knobs, two governing tone and the other pair taking care of the volume. The pickups look like P90 rip offs. Fishish it shitty polyuruthane has a couple of cracks and dents, and doesn't age well. Its a nice SG style cherry red. The body style is a copy of a Gibson Les Paul doubble cut. The bridge is utter shite intonation is a bitch and a half, oh and its a tune-o-matic rip off. The tuners are really crap, and i mean crap, alot of other reviews of Canora guitars say this as well so replacing them might be a good option.

The guitar is very versatile, it can handle just abuot anything with the right amp. Blues, Rock and any other crap you like it can do it. I use this guitar through a Marshall 50watter transistor amp. The electronics are alright, the switch needs a bit of a clean though. The P90's evoke a really naked sound from this guitar that lets the resonance of the bodies wood to shine through. From heavy distorted nonsense to clean chimes its got your balls in a vice, man!

Wouldn't know how well this guitar would have come from the factory i'm the second owner (and a happy one ;). lowered the action myself, and after about a good half hour of trying to get it intoned it was sweet as. Pickups cannot be adjusted srewed sraight into the body as they are "dog ears". This guitar is pretty much peachy exept for my previous gripes. cause i have it second hand the fret board had dryed out and some of the frets had started to protrude from the sides of the fretboard as there is no binding.

been playing for 5 years now own a strat and other stuff such as amps acoustic and what-not. I probably would not buy another one of these (damn hard to find, see) maybe just go with a Gibson Les Paul Junior (single cuts are better). Compared to my strat the only real diference is the chunky ass neck with a differnt scale, controll layout pretty much everything.

Not too shure what time this guitar was mad late 80's early 90's
It has 22 frets
Looks to me as if its a solid top
2 volume 2 tone and one 3-way selector switch
Two P90 copies
Transparent Red
Les Paul Junior double cut-away copy
Tune-O-Matic
Tuners seem to be budgett
Quite Fat with Jumbo Fretswith and Rosewood Fretboard
Got it second hand off E-bay for $86.50 with a crappy gig bag

Suits classic rock, blues and early heavy metal e.g Led Zeppelin
Marshal MG50DFX and thats all, just plug right in
quite nice over all sound heaps of great tones on hand
The action is a bit high making it a little harder to solo, strap buttons are crap and small, tuners not so great but other than that a great sounding back up guitar.

I've been play guitar for 5 years and i use a Squier Stratocaster and a Marshal MG50DFX (no effects)
Pretty damn good for $80 when there worth about $375 a few chips in the finish (usual for a 20 year old guitar)when i got it the fret board was dry as a pommies towel but with some oil its a great play. Tuners are pretty cheap but they hold alright when left alone. All in all exelent for the price I paid
