I think it was made about ten years ago(around 1992 maybe?) not sure where though.
22 frets, laminated top.
Controls are volume & 2 tone, 5 way selecter.
Pickups are S/S/S not sure the brand must be canora's own.
its a stratocaster style.
string thru body.
non locking tuners, not sure of brand, prob canora's own again.
neck is fat.
I got a bag with it.

Sound : 7
I do rock, blues, grunge, etc. it does all styles ok, but the quality of electronics are poor.
I use a Marshall Amp MG series, it sounds good, but there is alot of humming but thats normal for single coils, after i get my new guitar i'll have to replace the electronics on of these days!
the sound is bright and a bit full.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 4
action is alright, but is a little uncomfortable. some of the hardware is a bit rusted, but i think that was because the previous owner had it in a cold storage for a while.
the pickup selector is a little noisy.
everythin else is fine.
and the neck is twisted a bit. :(

Reliability/Durability : 10
i think this guitar could stand a live gig, it seems reliable.
the hardware will proberly be needed to replace but far in the future.
the finish is good its lasted, not easy to wear off, its got a few dints, but thats coz i have droped it a few times, on hard surfaces.
strap buttons are solid.
i can depend on it, but i won't!
I could use it on a gig without a backup, but i wouldn't use this guitar at a gig, maybe as a backup i would.

Customer Support : 1
can't track em down, don't even know if they exist.
only time it was repaired when i fixed up the sleector switch and re soldeired the input plug wire.

Overall Rating : 6
I wish i had researched into getting a guitar, i rushed into it and grabbed anything i could as fast as i could. it was fine to get me started, but i will be getting a new one very soon!:)
If it was stolen i wouldn't care,
I don't really like this guitar some days i have nearly smashed it on the drive way.
If the neck wasn't twisted and comfortable it would be an good guitar!
Do research before you buy a guitar especially for the 1st time and ask other guitarist what they think you should get!

this seems to be the brand of guitars that only shows up in australia and maybe new zeland, which makes me believe that it is made by somebody in asia strictly for the needs of some distributor from around here, who always wanted to have his brand of guitars. i have seen them in all styles(classical, drednought, strat copy, les paul copy...)most likely made in early eighties(maybe late seventies), country of manufacture unknown (no guitar of that brand sports a label of origins....hmmmm,something stinks there!)however everything points to japan(better not dismiss korea and possibly even indonesia) but taking into account level of craftsmenship and it's age...i'd bet my money on japan...NECK THROUGH,STRINGS THROUGH strat body. neck and middle strip of the body dark, mahogany(?) and the wings of the body light coloured, asian version of alder or maple(?). clear lacquer finish so the contrasts in woods looks kinda' funky. regular strat configuration (s/s/s/) of generic pickups,5 way switch and one volume and two tone pots. stop tail/string-through bridge and fairly crappy generic machine-heads. fretboard is blond like the wings of the body( maple sounds like a logical guess but then ...)
The fattest neck that i've seen, not just on strats but all'round(actually that was the reason i bought it.it felt like my lp...real chunky).standard strat scale. purchased it second hand from some lousy shop so ...no accesories!

Sound : 8
It does the "strat" thing well. it is limited by the quality of it's electronics and mach. heads but it's perfecly playable even in that setup. do not forget that it's chunkier than your regular strat and it is neck-through and strings-through so some things sound a little different but in my (humble)opinion that's an improvement on otherwise flawed design of fenders. i can imagine it "whailing" with proper duncans or something else but i'll leave that for latter in life. you can probably read through the lines that i'm not the biggest fan of Leo's but...everybody wants some...i want some too! gotta have a strat in your collection! i just can't live with poor standards recent strats are displaying(and pricetags). there is a hum there but then again(as i said earlier)it's there even on the real thing and dummies are starting to make it sound vogue to have a single coil hum these days so ...if anything "that" is making it sound more like a real thing! sound is well balanced and guitar is flexible like it should be(2nd and 4th position,neck...it's all there soundwise...all the way to brightly/shrill sounding bridge pickup).

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
finish was flawless and generally all the "carpentry" on the guitar was done "japanese" precise(hence japan as a most likely country of origin.at the time of production korea and others still haven't mastered it propertly...or better said, haven't been payed enough for production, to care). had to fight it to wear 10' but again truss-rod worked the way it should so now, action is seriously low.

Reliability/Durability : 10
this is as simple(and therefore as brilliant) a design a strat will ever get. once you change the machine heads this thing is bulletproof(and i mean it literally 'cose it's so thick and yet it's kinda' light). there's no loose parts on it.even the tailpiece is solid brass and bolted down to a body so reheheheheally sturdy...
what can i say...i have to take my hat off for the sly distributer who ordered them from God knows where(if only they used slightly better woods...it would be a cult guitar...forget arias,yamahas,washburns,samicks,vesters,corts...and alike, this thing is class above)

he he he he he lol actually ROR(roughing out roud).these guys have done more work to cover themselves up than most companies do to promote themselves so you go figure.
f....'em !!!

been playing for 2 decades. have a Gibbo LP Custom and a US BC Rich Koa Mockingbird, G&L ASAT...couple of blackface fenders, rivera tbr 1m,some solid state fenders...way more stuff than i presently need/use(like most of you,i believe). it makes me think though, if some sleazy, two bit operators can come up with such a good concept...why don't more companies employ that line of thinking. surely they are aware of the inferiority of their guitars compared to these types of guitars.the only reason they keep on making them must be....what ???....they are still making good sales !!! and how is that possible? because of YOU OUT THERE!!! STOP BUYING CRAPPY MADE GEAR! Let it rott on the shelves in the shops of those gready owners! eventually they will sell you that same old crap(but at least at 1/10th of the price -in closing down sales-which is it's true value) and then we can get on with making/playing good stuff for the same amounts of money! Power(chord) to the (music playing) people !!!!!!
