I play fingerstyle ambient/smooth music it works perfectly in this style.
I run the guitar through a variety of amps/Mesa Boogie 2/90/ Fender Pro Juniors or straight into the P.A.. Sounds great with a touch of Chorusing and delay.
No noise noticed, in fact very quiet.
The sound is wonderful. You can get a wide variety from the onboard controls. It can sound very acoustic or electric depending on the tone settings.
I like the mid setting indent on the tone knobs, it gives you a reference point for your sound.
Sounds very good indeed.

This guitar, believe it or not was basically in tune when I pulled it out of the case after getting it in the mail! Thanks to the sperzels. The look and finish are immaculate and it is beautiful to look at. The clear finished bookmatched flame maple top(lots o' flame)/tortise binding and the nice inlays along with the gold sperzels compliment each other perfectly.
The inlay on the 5th fret had what appears to be a crack line in it but is not detracting from the appearance.
The build quality appears to be quite good.

The guitar is very lite and I would not bash the thing around onstage. That is not to say it wouldn't take it but I personally like to take care of gorgeous guitars and this one is nice.
I have sperzels on another guitar I own and they are very sturdy.
Time will tell on the finish. It looks well applied.
Strap buttons well mounted
I would certainly depend on this guitar.
I would never gig without a back up.

I have dealt with Carvin before and I have to say they are the best mail order company I have ever dealt with. They pack their products very well for shipment.
They are very helpful on the phone when ordering.
Item is warranted although I'm not sure for how long, see their website.

I have been playing for a long time. 20+ years. I own a housefull of other gear, including acoustic and electric guitars.
I got more than I expected when ordering this guitar. If it were stolen or lost I would certainly replace it if possible.
I love the sound, feel and looks of this guitar and it doesn't disappoint.
I did consider the Guild Peregrine and the Gibson Chet Atkins ST before settling on this guitar. The other 2 guitars are far more expensive and dealing with Guild/Fender is tough nowadays. I chose the Carvin on the reputation of the company seeing I had no off the shelf model to try. Craig Chaquico endorses the guitar and he has been around for some time and I have his CD's so I used that as well in choosing this guitar. I used the Carvin website to narrow down the color choice.
I can't think of anything I wish this guitar had, I like it as it is and it suits my music well.
If you are looking for a very nice acoustic electric thin body guitar that is not over priced and looks and sounds great you won't go wrong with this model.
