Bought this Dutch guitar in july 2002, it's made of 'soundcompound', a ceramic-graphite composite material.
(Ceramic:high temperature resistance, high compressive strength, good corrosion resistance;and extremely abrasion resistant and graphite: ultra-strong fibre also originates from space engineering)
The neck & body and head are a one piece construction.
Fretboard is made of SuperPhenol and the 24 frets are made from nickel alloy, mid-sized.
The controlls are 2x volume/elements, 1x volume/piezo, 1x tone, 3-way toggle switch split the humbucker. The pick-ups are: neck Kinmann AVn-62, Bridge Seymour Duncan Trembucker. (TM-5) and piezo in the bridge.
Bridge is a stop tail piece, gold plated, and the color is Mother Earth Red. The non-locking tuners are also gold plated, The Kinmann AVn-62 is extremely responsive, exciting and the ultimate (neck) pickup for blues!

Sound : 9
You can use the guitar on 3 different ways.
1. With a normal cable into the amp.
2. With a special stereo cable, one jack goes into an acoustic amp or mixer, and the other jack into the other amp.
3.With the stereo cable in just an acoustic amp or PA.
The sustain is super.
I play it with a Traynor YCV80 amp and the piezo in the PA.
The combination sounds great, but it takes a lot of time to find the perfect sound. The Duncan is a perfect pickup for solo and the Kinmann sounds great in chords.
The sustain is more than a Gibson Les Paul.(the unamplified sustain of the low E-string of this guitar is 50 seconds. Compared to the 30 seconds of a Stratocaster or the 40 seconds of a heavy Les Paul that is quite long.)

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The pickups are perfectly adjusted and especailly the fretwire is very good.
It's almost perfect.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Topquality. I play this guitar now for almost one year and it?s OK.

Playing for 36 years now, and had several other guitars. I think when in the past all guitars were made from soundcompound and now, in 2003, they discover a new material for guitars: WOOD, I?m sure that nobody would buy those wooden guitars.
I don?t play anymore on my other guitars. If it was stolen I will buy immedialy another one.
I can play acoustic with the piezo, with one single coil, with one humbucker, with a splitted humbucker, with single-coil+humbuckers and all combinations with one or two amps.
I will not give the overall rating a 10 because the ultimate. perfect guitar never should be build but this one is nearly!
I compared the jakkerman with other guitars (Les Paul, Tele, Strat) but it has a own sound which is not to compare with those traditional guitars.

bought this Dutch guitar in oct 2000, and it's made of 'soundcompound', a ceramic-graphite composite material. The neck & body are a one piece construction. Fretboard is made of SuperPhenol and the 24 frets are made from nickel alloy, mid-sized. The controlls are 2x volume, 2x tone, 3-way toggle switch and 2x coil-tap switch. The pick-ups are: neck Kinmann piezo, Bridge Seymour Duncan Humbucker. Bridge is a stop tail piece, gold plated, and the color is Stardust Black ( I just call it metallic Black). The non-locking tuners are also gold plated, I don't know the brand, but they are ok.

I like to play a lot of different styles, ballads but also hard rock, and this guitar plays it all, You need a special stereo cable, one jack goes into an ecoustic amp,(Peavey ecoustic 112) and the other jack into my other amp (Peavey Tubefex--> Peavey classic 50/50). This combination sounds super. You can experiment a lot of weekends with the sounds you can create this way. Sweating hard working tubes, sometimes with a lot of fx, in combination and mixed (the volume pedal) with the acoustic piezo sound. There are no dead spots on the neck ( hey it isn't wood), sustain is superb and forget the idea that only wood sounds great.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
It isn't a mass pruduct, so every guitar gets enough attention. The set-up was nearly perfect for me, just a little adjustment for the intonation. It has flaws, but you have to search hard for it. In general : it's not perfect, but it comes close to it

Reliability/Durability : 10
I don't think that this is an issue, because of the material were it is made from, the hardware is topquality, so the worst thing that can happen is a broken string. I play this guitar now for over 7 months and the finish looks solid to me.

Never needed help or support , I bought this one at the office of the endorcer, he is a good and serious guy, so I ain't worried about that

Overall Rating : 10
Playing for 26 years now, and had several other guitars, but this one is together with my Panthera (also from Catalyst) my alltime favourite. If I must choose between the most expensive Gibson or whatever any other brand, I take this one. The combination of the piezo and the humbucker, the super sustain, the warm sound etc does the magic for me. The only wishes I have are a trem-arm and a little bit thinner neck. You can get a lot of different sounds out of it and if stolen, I would first buy a gun, shoot that basterd, replace it and play the prison blues on it for the rest of my life if I get cought ;-)
