This is my first guitar, and I've been playing it as a straight up acoustic off and on for the past three years. Typical camp-fire sing alongs, learning chords, and strumming along to my favoirite Pink Floyd tunes, etc.
Tone is fairly bright, and it plays plenty loud for a small group without amplification.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Action is a bit on the high side. Playing bar chords is virtually impossible, but still usable and good for toughening up one's fingers. I'll get it adjusted one of these days.
Even without the frills of the 625C, it's still a very attractive guitar, and you won't be able to tell the difference unless you get up close. Fishish is of good quality and durable.
Reliability/Durability

Guitar is very durable. The thing can take some serious abuse without showing it. Black finish is very tough, and doesn't show wear easily.
I've been playing it for 3 years without major issue.

You can't even read anything about this guitar on Jackson's website. Tried emailing them with a question and got no response.

For the price, you certainly can't go wrong. Very good value for a guitar to get started with and not have to replace a few months in.
