1 volume, 1 tone, 5 way selector
1 hum in bridge, 1 single in middle, 1 hum in neck
all charvel manufactured pickups

Strat style body, solid, no pickguard

Gotoh tuners with liscenced floyd rose trem bridge.

Sound : 7
Suits most styles, gets a good rock crunch going with the proper setup time. Good for metal, although the pickups do not seem to be too high gain. Deffinately need a pedal to assist with getting a good metal sound. Can get some really good blues sounds out of it as well.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
Bought used and had to adjust everything myself, string height, pickup height etc... finish is a dull gloss, doesn't seem to shine up very well.

Reliability/Durability : 8
never had any problems getting the sounds I wanted. Has always performed well for me. The input jack however seems to become unthreaded often, making it rather loose and sometimes noisy. I would gig with it without a backup. Strap buttons are solid and rather large, for some reason my strap keeps coming loose however. This is probably due to the strap for than the buttons. I have dropped this guitar many many times due to this, but only have 1 chip in the paint and it still functions perfectly.

It seems impossible to contact them for anything!

I have been trying to locate a peice from the tremolo bridge and have been unable to locate their tech division for anything. This is going through the charvel, jackson and fender websites! NOTHING!

Overall Rating : 7
This is certainly a good guitar for someone looking to "get into playing" I don't know how much it was worth when new. But it gets great sound, its very reliable and is very easy to play.

Features : 5
Manufactured ?late 80's, early 90's in Japan. 21 frets, strat style body with indenture on back, 2 stock Jackson/Charvel humbuckers and one single coil in center, Floyd Rose 1 bridge, black with rosewood fretboard, 3 string locks on headstock. Maple neck and headstock. Grover tuners. Seems I'm the only one in the world who owns one of these.

Sound : 8
Very clean, crunchy sound from the stock pickups. 5 way pickup toggle is very nice feature, giving it a nice variety of sounds.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
This particular guitar has excellent action; however while bending notes the bottom E goes out of tune; this is due to the Floyd bridge. Guitar will only accept string gauges .009 and thinner.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I've had the guitar 10 years; and was a mainstay for a long time. I've never had any problems, but with heavy use I finally developed a tiny crack on the base of the neck where it meets the bolts to the body. I will retire this beauty and keep it because I believe it is a rare guitar.

Charvel does not exist anymore.

If anyone else owns this model; or where I can get info; please get in touch with me.
