This guitar was made in the early 90's. (like the other review said) It's a blueish color, 24 jumbo frets, mahogany fretboard, 5 way pick-up selector, Jackson keys, Floyd Rose bridge and locking nut. It has a humbucker in the bridge position, a hot rial in the middle, and another hot rail in the neck position. I don't think the hot rails are origional though. I changed the bridge pick-up the an Evolution, it has a lot more bite now. Made in Germany. I give the features catagory a 10.

i've already mentioned the pick-up changes. This guitar is really good for metal players. It's suits my style perfectly. I'm really happy with it. For the money I paid it's a great value.

The frets are poorly filed, but that's only thing the factory did wrong because I bought it used. I've messed with thins guitar so the action is excelent now.

I can rely on this guitar because I don't have enough money to buy anything else. I have been using this guitar without a back-up though.

It is a Charvel Fusion deluxe, probably made around the early nineties, before Charvel went all acoustic. I think it was made in Japan, but I'm not completely sure. Anyhow, it's pretty basic. 22 frets, rosewood fretboard, largre-jumbo frets, alder or poplar body, and it has a weird pickup setup. In the bridge position it looks like an angled humbucker, but it is really 2 single coils stacked. In the neck position is a single coil. All of the pickups are covered, so they are pretty quiet. 3 way selector switch and one volume knob. It has a licensed Floyd trem, but it is only single locking(at the neck). It's kind of nice not having to snip the balls off the strings, and it stays in tune all of the time. Black hardware, and it looks great contrasting with the white body paint. Really fast and thin neck, and the infamous tilt back Jackson shaped headstock, which have stock Jackson tuners installed on it. I got the oshc with it.

Sound wise the guitar is all right. Since it has all single coils, it's not as thrashy sounding as I would like to be. I don't want to even bother changing the pickups. Otherwise, it sounds excellent. Really nice on the clean setting of my amp, and ok for distortion. The Charvel covered pickups are super quiet, so I shall leave them alone. The 3 way selector switch can't allow you to experiment too much, but it does its job.

When I received the guitar, it was completly out of tune because the previos owner had loosened the strings for shipping, but once i tuned it, everything turned out quite well. Everything was adjusted properly. The white finish was flawless, which was surprising for a used guitar. Set up and all of that other stuff was great once I tuned it.

When I play live, everything does its job well. Nothing comes loose, everyting stays in tune, and a-ok. The hardware is not rusted at all, due to the the previous owner taking excellent care of it. It is very solid, and very dependable. I am not too worried about the Floyd aspect, as I am very familiar with them. The finish is great, with only minor pick and surface scratches, which are not noticable because of the white color. I would probably not need a backup, as it is very dependable and had never failed on me.

I have never talked to anyone at Jackson/ Charvel, as Charvel no longer is in the electrc guitar business. I have no reason to contact them, because nothing has gone wrong.

I have been playing for eight years, and this guitar suits me well. I have another Charvel, the Model 6, and I love them both. Anyhow, if anyone has any unwanted Charvels, let me know so I can give them a good home.
