The Guitar was purchased in 1989 from Sam Ash in New York for 150 bucks. It is a 22 fret model finished in a white sparkle vinyl finish. 1 Jackson pick-up(never liked it) and 1 volume control. Recently decided to refinish the guitar and found the body construction to be 4 pieces of wood joined together with two pieces of phenolic, front and back (I am sure this was done for superior acoustical properties). The neckplate Charvel Guitars, Ft. Worth, Texas indicating foreign origin. The bridge is a Jackson floyd rose.

The Bridge pickup has been replaced with a dimarzio PAF pro, which has improved sound significantly.

As mentioned before, the body is four pieces of wood joined front and back with phenolic. the lower piece appears to be basswood due to the visible mineral streaks. Removing the lower bridge anchor bushing revealed a crack in the body. Removing the Locking nut, found a factory error(two holes drilled next to each other). Otherwise, playing the Instument gives the Impression of reasonable quality.

Has been reasonbly durable, used as a practice/backup instrument. The white sparkle vinyl finish has yellowed over the years.

Been Playing 20 years. Buy Again? Heck no. Favorite feature-Jackson Floyd rose, A friend urged me, "hey man-the bridge is worth the price of the guitar". So, I got to experiment with a floyd bridge. Chose it solely on price. Moral of the story- you get what you pay for.
