I play many different styles. It suits all of them well none better than the next. depends on what you want for tone and i think this is an awesome guitar for crisp leads it does not break up and is crystal clear even on a Poor amp it sounds good. I use it with my Custom Mesa/Boogie Triple Rectifier and 2 Mesa Oversized cabs one Straight one Slant. Rack Gear Just Compressor/Gate Live and Furman Power Pro. The Guitar can Make A plethora of sounds Depending on How it is set up i cant really say it depends on what you want Great Jazz sounding leads and rhythm tones in the neck and neck/bridge in the bridge Awesome Rock/Metal/Death Metal Leads and Rhythm Tones middle Position again Crisp Clean Bridge Clean super Clear Crisp and Less full Bodied than in the middle and The Neck A powerful Thick and Meaty Clean and the it all depends on your Amp and settings The World is your Oyster with this Guitar. I think the best thing is Harmonics Leap off the fret board with little to any ease in any position even unplugged it sounds great.

I took one off for the fret levels but its a free fix under warranty.

the factory set-up was actually really good surprisingly good actually much better than any Fender, Gibson, G&L, James Taylor that i have played however the gibson Custom Shop Guitars SG "the Paul" is a nice set up but that is a very thick feeling set up. this is a very low action and more play ability as to the strings have less tension on them it feels like and have noticed on most of these new Charvels which is awesome. The only Problem i had was the fret levels but that was fixed. I had the Guitar Set up for Drop C and had it Intonated and Re-set up with GHS Boomer Mediums and it is to say the Least A feel/eye/eargasm. the Body is Heavy but i Like more wood and dont mind it on my shoulders even playing for Hours on stage or at home it is bottom heavy and it sits like a properly trained Pit-Bull. Other than that Dont know what else to say

yes these guitars are very durable they hold up well Live and In the case. Haven't had a problem yet and if i do its only A volume pot 2 pickups a 3-way and the ground on the Back of the spring trem housing. all the Electronics and cavities are shielded well so you should not have to worry much and the products that come on it i trust and have trusted for years. I dont know why i put that the cavities are shielded in here but yeah they are.

The Fret level was off a little you take it to your nearest Luthier or fender authorized Luthier and they will fix it under warranty with in the first 30 days free of charge. and you dont have to talk to anyone if you dont want to i think thats awesome in and of its self take it in no hassle show receipt for proof of purchase and then have it repaired and get in back in 15-30 minutes.

16 Years. phew 1961 SG, 1960 Les Paul, 1972 Les Paul Custom, 3 Gibson Flying V's, Gibson V83, Guild S300A, Cordoba Classical, And the list goes on.....
If it were lost or stolen i would get another one in a heartbeat as a matter of fact i am getting another one.
I love its simplicity and the fact that the neck is so thin and fast and the frets are super jumbo but already worn in like the neck and the neck came sanded. as well it sounds amazing and is i believe it is the One of the Best Guitar i have ever played other than My SG.
yes i compared it to a USA Jackson Dinky a few Wayne Guitar(Wayne Charvels new guitar Line) other Charvels, Tom Andersons, James Tylers, Music Mans and a few other High End Guitars.
I chose it because it was weighted nicely, the neck it short of breath taking as well as the frets, the Brass trem is awesome and the sustain is incredible and it sounds like a real Piece of work.
